Somehow I missed reading the bit about buying discounted games, but I do understand (and share) the mentality. The idea is that if there's a good offer for an appealing game, there's an incentive to pick it up. Even if one doesn't have much chance of playing it in the near future, the potential is still there.

To compare, I just bought 19 items during the recent GOG sale, and I'd be lucky to play half of these ever.

As someone who bought a ps3 year 1... lol @ poor mans ps3, more like cheaper ps3 with superior online infrastructure and multiplatform games. Allard put together a damn fine machine @ a good price, it's a shame he had to make way due to the failure of Zune.

The 360 was a fine machine even if it went turned into the Nintendo Wii the second part of it's lifespan, casual motion controls and than abandoned by its parent company in regards to games lol.

Not sure what it was for your country, but at least for Canada it was up to 100 bucks back.

XD didn't ps3 have a small library first day too?

I got a Xbox 360 day one and ps3 long later.

So I was going to mention this in the XBOX One thread, but hey! There isn't one.

After that abysmal number of inquiries we received for it, Microsoft sent us one single box of games, reported only six consoles would be sent out, and to top it off, we didn't get them.

That's right, we didn't receive any consoles. So much for release dates; I felt bad for the people who had lined up.

On the flip side, I got another 16 inquiries about the PS4 restocking today. It's kind of obvious how popular one is over the other.

I must have missed it, I feel a little silly.

Apparently our entire city was skimped on consoles. As for Target chains connected to us, half of them got completely screwed like we did. We won't even get the display until January.

As for the PS4 side, we got 48 consoles and sold them all on Day 1. It IS something to note that one of them was returned to us the next day as it had permanently blue-screened.

Just wondering, can you WATCH Twitch on the PS4? I know you can STREAM on twitch, but I'm kind of disappointed that the PS3 doesn't have a Twitch app yet. I want a system that can stream Twitch to my HDTV, so I might get a PS4 early just for that.

You can watch Twitch on PS4.

However, you can only watch PS4 streams.

There will be a separate twitch app coming soon that will give you full functionality as the web, but at launch, you can only watch PS4 streams.
