So how does destiny knot affect breeding now?
Give a pokemon the everstone for nature and destiny knot to the other and breed until the 31 iv are passed down?

Destiny Knot gueantees 5 IV from combinex IV pool from both parents. So out if 12 possibility only 5 is chosen. And it doesn't stack with power items.

So in turn it's easier to get good IV Pokemon by breeding a 5 Perfect IV one with a 5 or 4 Perfect IV Pokemon.

It's why many want those Ditto Safari's.

And in the exceptional case that you get 2 pokemon with 6/6 Max IV's you get an endless supply of 5 IV babies.


As a weird consequence of everyone maxing IV's though, nearly everyone has a hidden power of 'Dark' type.

Seriously, Is there anyway to know the detail of a new move learnt when level up?

It's so annyoing when the game ask me whether if I want to let my pokemon forget old move to learn a new one but I don't know what can new ability do. (I have to open wiki to check)

I'm talking about.....

[The Pokemon x is trying to learn ( a new move name) but Pokemon x already known 4 moves. Deleting old moves to learn (a new move name)?] <<< Is there anyway to check the detail of it during this in-game.)

I had hope they will fix this in X &Y but......

@GDB and John Niles what natures do u want for the Gale wings fletchlings I can supply one for each of you but John still give the pokemon that GDB wants to him please tell me what nature u want and given a day I can make the eggs

It should tell you once you go into the selection screen to forget the move (give a description), or did you mean before that?

Also, holding the (L) shoulder button when selecting the move.

actually if u click the move u should obtain a description also 3 new legendaries are revealed on serebii

It only show the description of the old moves there . It doesn't tell me what a new move can do.

hm something just occurred to me and that's if you can transfer items via pokemon bank or if its just the pokemon. that info will be needed sooner or later

He got me the Eevee, so no worries about that. For Fletchling, I suppose Adamant would be best? What's your in-game name? I have no idea who from this thread I've added and who I haven't due to how fast the pages can go.


Also, that breeding thing is interesting. I'll have to give that a shot. Would make breeding so much faster, though you still need high IV Pokemon in the first place.

Very interesting, will definitely trying this out.
I understand that with every new egg, what parent will pass down what IV will change, but why do you reject the first egg?

To ensure that the next egg has set inheritance, as they aren't positive exactly when that gets set. It doesn't seem to be when you drop the parents off, as you can switch the parents once inheritance is set, so this is the best way to ensure the trigger is set.

I am trying to figure out how to get the Hacking O-Power? I am kinda of a nub when it comes down to Perfect IV, what it is good for and what now. Also I am looking for a Muckrow if anybody has it, I got few Eevees with Anticapation.
