PlayStation got pawned.
Anyway, is this the beginning of the end of Play Station? I mean, "everyone" said that "when FFXIII comes to PS3, the sales will rise for the PS3 consol"...not. I own a PS3, so I really don't care wether or not FFXIII will be released on X360 or not. However, for some unknown reason it would really make me sad if PS will face difficult finacial problems. Do you guys think this is the case? (Thank God Last Remnant will be released on PS3. But I've heard that the PS3 version will be released after X360 version?) And btw, does someone have a place where I can see the sales of each console?

Well, I thought that the PS3 was currently dying a slow death with S-E's decision not to focus solely on one system; that the reason for doing so might have something to do with them not being confident at all with the PS3 outside of Japan. So in one sense, it does not bode well for the PS3, while on the other, with Eternal Sonata coming to the PS3 in NA this fall when Bandai/Namco vehemently have always said it won't ever come, and with NIS still solely developing for the sony line of systems, then the future might not so be so bleak after all for the PS3.

Well here is my take on the FFXIII going to the x360 thing. Sony already knew that FFXIII will be going to the x360 since they are a stock holder on SE. And as of now FFXIII Versus is still Ps3 exclusive, If it is indeed 100% exclusive then it is a win-win for sony or lose it all.
If we are gonna consider FFXIII as a big hit on Ps3 and x360 then people would want to play the next FF(versus would probably be only months away from XIII. Then those x360 only owners would be prompted to buy a ps3 for versus(If they liked XIII that much, that is. And if versus would be exclusive during launch day it would drive more Ps3s than x360s in terms of hardware sakes as versus is exclusive. so it all depends on versus keeping its exclusivity to the Ps3 and how much of a success will XIII be. If Sony loses versus exclusivity then their future looks bleak. Probably for this gen SE is planning to have 1 exclusive for each console... Versus for the Ps3 an IU for the x360. |

So is anyone going for Tears To Tiara: Kakan no Daichi? Already eight hours into it. The story is pretty much still the same from the PC version with Arawn's awakening and so on just the story goes on slower this time thanks to the battles. The game play is quite easy to follow. What's different at the start is you get a tutorial battle with Arthur & Morgan, a free win really. Since I'm in Hard Mode things are a bit more rough and have to watch out for Riannon dying from a single hit... a lot
More randomness, X Edge in September? |

People are making way too big a deal. FFXIII is just one game, a big one no doubt but not big enough to end Playstation, not even PS3. THERE are other great games. |

I wouldn't say it's the end of the PS3 either, but isn't Sony still losing money for every unit sold? Well, the cost is less than what it was before, but if I'm not mistaken they're still losing money.
However, for the past few months or so, the PS3 has been selling more than the 360 according to NPD numbers—and surprisingly, this in the US. (You can thank MGS4 and blu-ray for that.) The Wii on the other hand, occupies the top spot... for better or for worse. Sorry, their show on E3 simply disappointed me, but whatever. With those results, it's no wonder that MS is now aiming for the "casual" demographic, starting with a new XBL redesign with new features to go with it—a move I can totally agree with. (Those blades were just too much of the "kool" and "xtreme!" gamer mentality to me.) |

I also found the Nintendo confrence at E3 dissappointing there was nothing that was really exciting. They seem to be doing everthing for the casual gamers now and are leving out the core gamers, and then when they were asked about it Reggy responded "How can they feel left out, they have Animal Crossing".......Jerk. |
