After looking at Japanese wiki there is one thing that got me curious. Specifically:

Spoiler for Kohina's past:

Where was this mentioned? Because I don't remember it at all.

I was always wondering but did the LN say anything about that one girl Rentaro rescued in episode 2 (the little girl that got shot by the police officers)?

Yen Press / Yen On has licensed both the light novel and the manga versions. [Source]

eh.. i have rather mixed feelings about this, while it's nice that it got translated, the Yenpress's index version make me think twice, not that i complaining their translation is bad, but i just found reading their translation a little weird.

Now if Yen Press would finally start releasing ebook versions, I'd actually buy them.

I think they confirmed that they are releasing the ebook versions of Black Bullet.

Is the reason of translations removed from baka-tsuki because Yen Press licensed it?

You go see the index thread for more info. Like i said, their translation is not bad at all, good even. But there is a little excessive in localization in my opinion, so i'm not used to that, and there is also problem of Terminology, which might be a problem in BB since we all know, BB's skill name is rather...

Translator deleted it himself...

To add insult to injury, I did finish v2. Because of the rules I set however, I can't upload my work because only 109 pages of work was updated...

Certain subtleties get lost. For instance, no japanese honorifics.

I'm honestly not too worried about the translation.

The only things they could botch up are:
1. the names of Rentaro's moves which even the translators were unsure of
2. varanium which I hope they spell with a "v"
3. and maybe gastrea, but that should be obvious

Piracy and copyright issues. Normally baka-tsuki is meant for light novels that haven't been licensed in the U.S. yet. However, when a light novel does get licensed, the mods have no choice but to take the chapters down to respect the the publisher and encourage people to obtain the novels legally.

It's kinda the same rule for many popular digital sites as well.

Animesuki also had a similar rule in regards to fansubs, but Animesuki later dropped most of the BiTorrent and fansub stuff and Animesuki is more of an online anime community.

^ All of B.B. contents were removed due to copyright issue, including the images, the only way to get the images now is simply by googling it.
