Now I have to wonder whether they're going to update the OP/ED with Hahari or if they already have a version of the OP ready with Sumire Uesaka joining the other girls in singing. Because it would feel very on-brand knowing how many anime songs she's sung

I love how they do a serious "previously on..." thing just to show off pre and post-zing Hahari. Because it's just that stark a contrast
.Of course they had Karane there to be the straight woman to probably the most crazy thing to happen to the show yet, but admittedly Hahari recovers quick from being lovestruck to being back to controlling and unrelenting mama  .Ah yes, what better way to test a lie detector than by putting a tsundere in it? And they really had to go for the jugular about Karane's chest size. It's just a B-Cup, dang it! And then they had to make her confess her undying and absolute love for Rentaro because a simple "I love him" wouldn't suffice...and nearly kills him every time it makes it sound like she doesn't love him...but there is no reservation on Rentaro's part in declaring his love for his girlfriends  .I love how they had to condense Rentaro's responses because we all knew the lie detector would just tell the truth as he waxes lyrical on his love for Hakari. Not that it matters to Hahari, she's willing to waste any time so long as they skip the ED...even if they made a special one just for her  . I just realized that Hahari's dress exposes her butt crack when you see her from behind. She really is Hakari's mother  . Of course the only thing that could hold back Hahari is Karane's tsundere strength. She really could break someone's neck if she wanted to. Though the only thing possibly more powerful is a mothers' love  .Oh no, Hakari is going to jump! And the girls are still playing cats for that one security guard  !Hakari is worried that she's a burden to Rentaro, and doesn't want to keep inconveniencing him, but doesn't what matter most is that they love each other and want to be together? Especially when you've got a guy like Rentaro who will jump out of a window with you and do his utmost to save you  .I love how the girls dive into the fountain to save them and Shizuku ends up needing help from Kusuri .Hahari can no longer deny Rentaro's love for Hakari and gives him her blessing as Hakari's mother...but in her efforts to protect her daughter, she has made Rentaro fall in love with HER as well, and now he wants to make her happy as a woman, not just a mother. And now Hakari has to live with the fact that her mother is the sixth girlfriend and the entire Harem has to deal with their new MILF member to the Rentaro family  .What better way to cap off this storyline than watching all the girls together and bathing naked? Especially with all the busty beauties showing off their goods, complete with Kusuri transforming into her older form to complete the set! I don't blame Karane for leaving from such a spectacle  !Karane's not busty but she's got an exposed bellybutton and her own inner horniness going for her  !I see that the only person that loves Rentaro's Harem more than Rentaro is quite possibly Hahari herself, who loves doting on and dressing cute girls. Enjoyed seeing the Hanazono women in robes with their cleavage exposed? How about watching all the girls in fancy and cute PJ's! With Shizuku and Kusuri taking the take and a kiss from Rentaro's lips  !Hahari had been so focused on the girls but she can't hold herself back when she's finally alone with Rentaro...and she seems to want some private alone time. In her bedroom. Is it finally time for Rentaro to seal the deal ?There was no way they were going to have Sumire Uesaka voice a girlfriend and not have her contribute a song, as Hahari gets her own dedicated ED of her talking to Rentaro about how much she loves him with the girls all dressed up in various outfits and dancing to her tune. It is a very Hahari ED .

That is one picky lie detector! Poor Karane had to dig deep for this episode! Especially with her being a tsundere. That thing really wanted her to go all out. Even as bold a declaration of love as you'd see in most romance series wasn't enough! Of course it was adorable seeing her push herself that hard and declaration her love so fully that it resurrected Rentarou! That was great. And of course Rentarou couldn't let it stand so he made sure to get his love for Karane out there too!
Lie detector should have known when to call it quits though! Just let the girl get away with her upper end of B-cup statement. No need to be that picky! Deserved getting a good punching barrage! The neck snapping thing was great. Don't test her people! She'll snap necks like pocky sticks !The grand bold rescue was great. Though my biggest takeaway was..."don't drown Shizuka!" Somehow with people falling out of buildings it was Shizuka who ended up in the greatest mortal peril! Good tactical retreat by Karane in the baths . Led to some more great moments with Rentarou. It's nice that she was as central a figure to this whole Hikari incident as Hikari herself. And of course Rentaro figured out what was going on during the Mission Impossible scene. Both sides utterly responding to it but needing to pretend otherwise to get across!That was great stuff. The stomach rubbing scene was pure gold. And then both parties jumping off the bed to do sit ups when they were about to get caught! Honestly this show has some of the most entertaining couple scenes I've seen in a long time. Just going all out with as many characters as it can handle. I can't imagine where Hakari's mind has gone to with all this. Ups and literal downs. Nearly dying, things with Rentaro...and her mother dating her boyfriend!? That's definitely a "ehhhh" moment! And Hahari was about to get her own special ED cut after wasting time in the early going!

This is the ending of a wealthy family.
A lot of great moments in this episode, ranging from the absolute hilarity of Karane dealing with the lie detector to the total awesomeness of Rentarou saving Hakari from death. And in the end we got the sixth girlfriend. There is no comment more appropriate than the one from Nano: oyakodon.

The best girl has officially joined! I like that Nano, Shizuka, and Kusuri were totally okay with it. Only Karane and Hakari freaked out, the latter for damn good reasons.
CR fucking sucks for not translating the ED. The lyrics are quite hilarious, she says she bought it. This leads me to think the anime will end with her stating she bought a second season because she wants more cute girls.

I knew this show would pull off the classic "make it sound like two people are having sex when they really aren't" but hearing Sumire Uesaka sound like she's orgasming was worth the price of admission
.Of course Hakari would immediately assume her mother is trying to seal the deal before any of them, and all the girls want to call dibs on "deflowering" Rentaro, but none of them were prepared for the truth...Rentaro crossplaying as a girl! It's so powerful it immediately cements Hahari in the Harem as they swear fully allegiance to her! And poor Rentaro just straight up dies, again .But what better match for a crossdressing Rentaro than a crossdressing Nano as a prince? And she cuts quite the striking and handsome figure, especially when she kisses sleeping beauty wake. All the girls are won over by such a glorious display !I should've figured all the girls would be horny enough to want to peek at Rentaro bathing and get to see some Aijo D lead by the Hanazono women, even Karane can't help herself, leaving Shizuka as the only bastion of morality and ethics left in this Harem. Which means turning her into a Shizuka roll to prevent her from stopping them  .Wait, that maid...she has a distinct character design, she's voiced by Suzuko Mimori, and her eyes are closed all the time..could she be ?Well, this attempt to sneak a peek at Rentaro's junk isn't going so well. They're all basically just freaking him out or getting sabotaged by a Rich Person's Cat. This Harem and cats, I swear .Okay Shizuka, everyone taking responsibility for the consequences of sneaking a peek at Rentaro by having Karane drag their bodies to the point of death is...definitely one possible future, I guess. Maybe a little dramatic, but Shizuka thinks like a fantasy novel. Which means she has to stop them! Even if that means rolling herself all over the house! And having the Rich Person's Dog once again bark her away! And of course she's the one who sees Rentaro's dong and ends up revealing she likes elephants while the other girls get scolded. Sasuga Shizuka-chan .I figured Hahari would have an altar to Hakari's dad, surreal as it is that the only picture they have of him is as a middle schooler because that's when he died...also, is that Akira Ishida ?Hahari is basically a widow and feels what most widows feel...does she have a right to love someone else when she still loves Hakari's father? She still hasn't gotten over him. All the same, the love that Rentaro and Hahari feel for each other is valid, and doesn't negate the love she feels for Hakari's father, and in proving their love for each other it will make Hakari's dad happy just to see Hahari be happy. Whether it be in admitting her feelings for Rentaro or having him pull her into a beautiful first kiss, the kind Hakari's dad could never give her  .Karane was on the watch for Hakari pulling a Hakari in bed with Rentaro...but she just wants to cuddle with him and kiss him after having been so worried she'd never be with him again. Karane can give her that much. Or even more as Karane and Hakari have a makeout while asleep and thinking each other are Rentaro and are practically going to town on each other. What great girlfriends  !Oh snap, it's Hakari's dad! And he was all there to warn Rentaro he'd haunt him if he didn't do right by his girls! But Rentaro is more than up to doing right by Hakari and Hahari and Hakari's dad can respect his conviction and determination...even if it means passing on to Heaven in a sky beam just as he and Rentaro were bonding  .What's a MILF to do to spend more time with her beloved Rentaro? Why, buy the school and become the chairperson! Even if that ironically means she misses Rentaro when he went to visit her during lunch break. But Hahari looks amazing in that outfit .Rentaro chasing after his girlfriends while passing by his future girlfriends! We've got the headphone girlfriend! Baseball girlfriend! Not the vice-principal! And a teacher(?) girlfriend! But for now he's got six girlfriends he really loves, loves, loves, loves, and loves  !!!

The scenes with Hahari and Hakari's father ghost were touching. Of course Rentarou isn't an hypocrite and as someone with 100 soulmates doesn't have a problem if his girlfriend had a previous lover whom she can't forget. And he feels only gratitude toward the man who made her happy and made Hakari's existence possible.
I could've done without another yuri scene, but sadly not even this series can be perfect. Overall the episode was funny, with the highlight on how Karane let it slip they were trying to peep because she's physically unable to not being a tsundere. And the cat if a wealthy family, of course. While we wait for season two we got a glimpse of the future girlfriends, look forward to learn what their quirks are.

One of those rare series where the girls are the perverted ones and the guy is pure. Even Shizuka is no longer pure and admitted to loving "elephants". Rentarou's purity is the only thing keeping this series from becoming porn, but it's also what led to the most controversial chapter in the entire series. But this isn't the place to talk about that.
To me, this is the best romcom in recent history, and among the best ever. The premise is utterly absurd and yet the author managed to make it work thanks to a quirky and lovable cast as well as hilarious gags. Can't wait for season 2.

I've got to say that Shizuka is proving herself to be the best girl. Only one with enough self-respect to try and stop the whole peeping bit. I'd give Karane a minor point for almost considering stopping it. Almost...That whole group needs to look at themselves in a mirror and strive to reach Shizuka's level of honor. Admittedly I'm not sure how to judge the results there. But she charged in with honorable intentions so I'll say it's fine.
And honestly they deserved to get ratted out. You bring a tsundere on a mission like this...what are you seriously expecting? Props to Hakari's father. Maybe trying to be overly cool there with the first kiss thing. But seemed like a good guy. Fair enough that the ghost would want a chat with Rentaro. Hooking up with both his widow and daughter! There would definitely need to be a few words shared there . Rentaro being too dedicated that it basically took him out though! Kind of a shame since it would have been nice for the guy sometime to have a quiet moment again with Hahari. But oh well. Guess it'll wait until she passes on.Interesting...developments at night ! Cute moment there with Rentaro and Hakari. But then...wild moments with Hakari and Karane! I mean not conscious, but still...also I'd love to know how the heck that happened!Maybe not the best episode of the series. But overall the show has been a fun ride. As good a harem series as I've seen period. And was fun to end it with a nice look at those I would presume to be future girlfriends. I look forward to the chaos of season 2.
