Either I am remembering wrong and it will be discussed later or they cut the details about why Manaria was kicked from her kingdom (they only briefly mentioned her going to brothels this episode).

If Manaria is supposed to be on Rae's side, she's being a real bitch about it. The preview seems to suggest another confrontation with her, with Rae rejecting whatever she's bringing up. Considering Rae's already confessed, shouldn't Claire have been the target of any motivational shipping?
I wonder if in the game the fight is a scripted loss, Rae is pretty broken already with endgame spells and stats so her losing so overwhelmingly is really odd.

Well, then. Overall, another one of the well executed series, with a little lull in excitement towards the end, but the last episode rather redeemed it for me again. Likeable characters, a decent story, middling animation again (though that isn't that big a factor in a romance comedy). I'd hope for another season, but that's probably too much to expect. Probably another one to look the manga up, but not good enough for a light novel follow.
8,0/10. This season had a lot of above-average shows.

Light novel is not that long, just 5 volumes for the whole story.
I do hope they will adapt the remaining of the story arc in some form, because they just reached the best part. Eh...

Manaria's whole deal was more or less what I thought, minus the whole raping the maid thing.
Claire finally called Rae by her name! And she pretty much outright confessed her love, though she remains tsundere about it. Her rebuttal to the marriage talk being "there's no way I could be a commoner's bride. Rae will be my bride!" was great. It would have been perfect to end it on that, but they just had to foreshadow events we're never going to see animated because real yuri shows aren't allowed to have second seasons.
