Not Sealkid's wish itself, that's perfectly understandable. Just the 'I'd like to see the Haruhi from the Disappearance of Haruhi' thing.

Does anyone remember a few years ago, there was a troll about haruhi with people sneaking into the school.

I cant find anywhere to watch it again, but could it possibly be when kyon, haruhi and koizumi sneak into the school???

Ah, actually...

That would be the one about Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody. You know, Kyon and young Haruhi break into the school, draw chalk lines to signal Orihime and Hikoboshi for Tanabata, and all that jazz.

I thought that at first, but I remembered how frantic Kyon was around Asakura. I've just reviewed that scene and he does indeed ask both questions. Thank you for pointing that out.

Forgive me for barging in randomly in this discussion, but does anyone think we'll finally get to see Kyon's family? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't recall seeing his parents in the anime at all.

I just read the novel and was quite surprised to see mention of Kyon's mother. I always thought Kyon and his sister were orphans living off their relatives or something...

Probably not, it doesn't seem very likely because I don't recall Kyon's parents being in the Disappearance novel.

He mentions his mom a couple times in passing -- that his mom was worried about his grades, that she wanted him to help decorate his sister's room for Christmas, etc. -- but we might actually get a glimpse of her depending on how they animate this scene:

KyoAni or whoever the hell is animating this better add more stuff than there was in the original story, considering most of it was like a Visual Novel, taking 5 mins to explain something..

You really think the same ones who animated all of Nagato's speeches, all of Koizumi's speeches, and a 3 minute segment of Nagato just sitting in there reading are going to alter any of the slow parts? How about no. They are going to animate it as it is written.

Doubtful. These are the same guys who gave us 7 3/4 episodes of the same story with no re-used animation. With 2 1/2 hours of movie budget, I don't think repetition will be a problem. If you're suggesting footage recycled from the series, say for flashbacks, there is a noticable difference in quality between just the animation we've seen so far from the movie and what was in the series. Anything recycled from the series would bring a jarring drop in quality, so I'm willing to bet even any flashbacks to series events would be reanimated (hypothetically—I don't remember any flashback moments in Disappearance, off the top of my head).
