Yeah, I've tried it with GT. And my head hurts after that. A lot more than, say, Mushoku Tensei.

So glad this novel is being translated. With all the technical jargon it reminds me of Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei so translating this series must suck thus why I can only bow down and praise skythewoods for his work.

Well you can definitely see the difference between my GT machine summary's and the actual translation. With the GT there was no way to tell that both twins were on that rooftop when Eru met them and during the basic magic test the whole reason for his awesome display of magic was actual him trying to impress, not him not realizing how good his magic was.

He's translating the LN, not the web novel. There are some differences so you aren't necessarily wrong.

yup, WN Eru met Bartson in entranhe(?) hall and continued in cafeteria . . .

I think it flows better in the LN. Then again the WN could be considered a first draft, without editing.

Since Log Horizon has been licensed by Yen Press, skythewood won't be continuing the series. He, therefore, can put all of his efforts in translating Knight's and Magic. That's what I hope for though he might find another novel he wants to translate perhaps something more popular.

Yeah, I used to machine translations to try and read ahead(gave up because its too hard). I completely agree, the events and the order in which they occurred are better in the light novel. especially how he got his winchester before he entered school as opposed to getting it when he met batson at school.

eng license > take down > no more tl (unless there be private somewhere)

like how sao, hdna, etc were licensed and eng tl removed
