How many crazy person are waiting for this saison 3 of Aria
![]() Now it is already Thursday 4-5 am in Japan so we can expect the first reviews and impressions very soon. What is weird is that we are very excited for slow and calm anime. |

Maybe that's a sign that they want to stretch the show to 26 episodes? We can only wait and see I guess. At any rate, episode one was exactly as everyone has said so far, an exemplary case of deserving Aika's favourite line. Embarrassing comments aren't allowed! Truly wonderful.

Sweet
Just nice. The animation quality in Aria has held up and so has the storytelling, from what I was able to make out.
I especially like the ED titles with the coloured-glass "stone" -- CGI but *good* CGI. Fun parts - Spoiler for First:
Spoiler for Second:
Spoiler for Third:

Wow, a single episode is as filling as an OVA! Good to see the animators having fun over the increased screen size of 16:9, and they've really made the images vibrant. Not to mention the script is also top notch. I have to say this again, Hal Film Maker has really worked hard on this episode.
Spoiler for Episode 1:

It would be highly preferable I guess, since there are some aspects that will be more understandable and logical after seeing the second season and OVA, however it is not entirely necessary. My personal suggestion would be to get the NATURAL and ARIETTA before. It's not like the 3rd season will go anywhere.

I just finished watching ep01 and I can't stop smiling! The art and detail on the Neo Venezian buildings have improvied a lot. Character face consistency is still so-so though.
Excellent start to the season and can't wait for more! |

The first episode cannot be described in simple words (a sublime heaven). I'm glad they sticked to a 16:9 resolution just like the OVA. It brings forth all the beauty of ARIA without detracting at all from its soothing mood. I was really missing this warm and fuzzy feeling, yet always relaxing. The feeling that makes you sleepy without actually falling asleep. That Slice-of-Life feeling I can only get from watching ARIA. I can't help my excitement.
![]() Anyway, i want to get my hands on the new opening (Makino Yui ![]() As far as the episode goes Spoiler for some thoughts on the first episode:
I’m definitely looking forward to the next episode and the next one… Quote:
