For the record, my biggest disappointment with Index (both seasons) is the lack of Index.

Index is clearly capable of kicking ass, but they have her sit on the sidelines or kidnapped so much that I just keep getting disappointed when she finally does get screen time to kick ass.

Aureoulus was a former friend.
Styil faked one to lure Touma out from A.C.
Ouma can be, he wanted one of her books afterall.

Could it be... Touma is unintentionally using the Hikaru Gengi Plan on Index??

Be sure to explode in an isolated area then because "soon" is essentially unlikely. Another poster said we might have to wait another 2~3 years because of other stuff JC Staff will work on.

Well, you better prep for the long haul; we're looking at quite possibly a Fall 2013 airing for Index S3. (assuming Shana S3 this Fall and Railgun S2 in Fall 2012) And that's not including the possibility JC Staff might pick up another big light novel serries to animate. So just be prepared tyo wait a long while.

I agree, except the part where she gets kidnapped- that honestly only happened twice. We can see from the two Amakusa Arc that she's capable of handling herself to a certain extent.

Even if that bitchy pettanko use all her powers and can do miracle thunder star light breaker railgun. That will be useless against the current weapon. And that enemy isn't kihara. Kihara was called to get the weapon ready to fought against the current enemy that's been attacking academy city.

Finally things start to get interesting. Who cares about Mikoto? Never understood why she is so popular.... not that she is a bad character or anything but I don't find her that aweasome and interesting... the only time she was really interesting was sisters arc. And even then her sisters seemed better...

But she will get her time to shine eventually, there is now way she will do nothing in this science mess. So be patient, hope she will actually deliver something exciting^^

This episode makes understand better as to why Accelerator and Last Order are so popular, I also start to like them.

I can only imagine Touma's face when he'll find out who this "kind" guy is that Index and Last Order keep talking about

So magic and science side are working together now?

Personally I can't really stand Index now, as she's always being mean and rude with Touma who does not deserve it. She isn't grateful (at least it's not shown in the anime, I have not read all the novels but...)

See this episode? She's like "Touma that guy has been kind with me, not like you blah blah" despite him cooking for her everyday, etc (soumen scene, bathroom scenes; I think the worst is before they both bump into Itsuwa, come on, Touma was damn ASLEEP >_>)

I prefer LO

Well, Index is actually powerless. Unless she can utilize more spells that do not use mana (in RPG terms, she is a manaless character), she won't do a darn thing aside from being a counterpart of Nodoka from Mahou Sensei Negima.

She is powerless because she doesn't know that she has and can use mana.
If she did, she would easily do a massacre (just think about what she did in John's Pen mode).
