I think so too, since she said things about "game".

It's something to look forward though, it'll be fun if the characters all are trying to screw the others over to gain something they wanted. Combined with romance and voila, it's a twised love story. LOL.

At first I was like: dude, you're better than this. She does not deserve so much attention. Just leave the evil bitch hanging and go on with your life. Well, that's gonna kill the manga so it won't happen, so good luck with your revenge, I'm looking forward to seeing her suffer.
But things slowly changed. Now it's like: I was weak, she rejected me for whatever reason but that helped me get stronger. Now, I'm back, we're growing stronger together, and looks like her rejection had great consequences.
That servant is clearly evil and scheming something and the blonde girl...I'm not sure, but she's fun. Anyway, the main couple is pretty uninteresting now that he'll never have his revenge (his revenge is most likely not justified anyway) but as long as the side-characters keep adding spice, I'll keep reading.

It's not so much that she doesn't know him, and/or found out his name -- the most likely explanation is that her family is a business rival of the Adagaki family or something similar. So she's coming onto Masamune-kun to get in the way of Aki and her being happy.

Or following the comedy angle: She's a girl who was also slighted by Aki in the past, and she is ALSO transferring to the school to get revenge on Aki. Not knowing that Masamune-kun isn't actually after Aki. Equally worthy "revenges" pitted against each other

Well...

Spoiler for chapters 10-11, from memory (minor mistakes possible):

Essentially, Neko is messing around with Adagaki and Masamune, thoroughly trolling them. Adagaki and Masamune get caught and are sentenced to clean the pool.

During the cleaning effort, the two of them are verbally fighting/flirting. Masamune splashes Adagaki with water, forcing her to strip down to her mizugi, and her behavior indicates that she is conscious about her relatively small breasts, but her legs are fantastic as always

Trying to get even, she tries to soak Masamune, too, but trips and falls into the pool, splashing around wildly, giving the impression of drowning (she obviously can't swim). Masamune immediately drops his antics and jumps in to rescue her, only to realize afterwards that the pool is shallow enough to stand.

Adagaki is obviously affected that Masamune would go that far for her, and he yells at her for worrying him like this. The talk gets a bit more serious when Masamune angrily repeats once more that he cares for her. What more could he possibly do to prove that? Adagaki is fighting with the same (actually very clear-eyed) distrust about people claiming to love her, since she is aware that she's actually a pretty terrible person. So she demands proof that he loves her! What kind of proof? Well... (squirming, blushing massively while almost trying to hind behind the pool ladder)... "a kiss".

Masamune is shellshocked. What the... In his confusion and embarrassment he is trying to piece things together in his head. But it doesn't help, he HAS to act on it! Adagaki is taking his confusion and hesitation as sign that he is not serious after all, and about to angrily leave the pool when Masamune reaches for her and catches her by the arm, to Adagaki's surprise. He's then leaning in to kiss her, but rather looking like someone kissing a toad with eyes forcefully squeezed shut instead of someone trying to kiss his lover. So Adagaki yells and punches him away. More shouting between them for the obvious reason. In the end, they realize that other people have arrived at the scene, and without finally concluding their tiff, Adagaki climbs out of the pool, giving Masamune one of her famous looks.

In the meantime, Neko is approaching Masamune's "master"

My read: Neko is probably trying to do to Masamune exactly the same thing that he wants to do to Adagaki: Make the other one fall in love, and then screwing them over.

This is merely my conjecture, based on her behavior. Keep in mind that she called it a "game" in the chapter when she almost ran Adagaki over with the car. Call it a gut feeling, since it would make a lot of sense.

The way I see it, Neko is obviously targeting Masamune, but not for genuine romantic feelings. It's a facade.

Wait..are you saying that Neko might be a fat girl in the past, and Masamune did something unforgiven to her, and she get pissed and trying to use the same strategy as Masamune did; weight loss program?
