Pros: animation doesn't look as bad as I was afraid. If nothing else character will be watchable.

Cons: How they dared replace Jun Fukujama? While I obviously knew about him for long time, his role of Gunzou was one that made me actualy like him a lot. He was created for that role!

At least it will be air in mere three months

PS: I don't realy mind change in role of Iona, though I am interested if Mai Fuchigami can distinguish all 4xx submarines from each other. Aoi could.

PSS: Who I should blame for these change in cast?

Also, I'm not familiar with the manga, but I also like that it's a fall show since I think that gives it a bigger chance to be at least a 2-cour show unlike most Winter shows, since I still prefer those and their ability to generally get more indepth and tell bigger stories than 13 ep shows (obviously not always the case ofcourse).

Her facial expression was odd in that thumbnail, but seeing the rest of the PV Takao actually looks very nice in motion. Especially dat blush at the end~

I'm kinda sad that the Drama CD cast won't be respiring their roles in the anime since i love Rina Satou as Takao. Still, i'm gonna give Manami Numakura (whose plays Hibiki in The Idolmaster) a chance.

Takao's mental model looks much better in manga, the facial expressions seem a bit off in the PV. Though I gotta say the ships are beautiful!

On the side note the anime is 'planned' to be aired in Oct (does that mean it's official? that's what I read from the PV).

Just a minor gripe, does anybody else see that there are too many cables on Fog’s ships? I personally think those many cables around the ship made it less menacing coz they look more like fishing boats than battleships. Also, why on earth are they promoting Kirishima as a teddy bear this early in the story? Don’t tell me they’re going to rush this like hell.

Aside from that, those are nice PV and promotional posters. I hope Haruna will be as cute as in the manga. I can’t wait to see how the anime-only viewers will react once they see what’s beneath Haruna’s large coat (if the anime does it right, that is).

Honestly I love Yukana, she is my favourite VA... But Houko Kuwashima was so great in that role. I fallen for her Kongou.

At least Yukana is great, not like that bunch of nonames that will replace great actors like Jun Fukuyama or Rina Satou. I realy feel like crying now.

The battleships don't have that many cables compared to cruisers or destroyers. Below is the real Maya

ww2 radars and antennas weren't that good so people had to attach them on high poles for better signal transmission, hence more wire to stabilize those poles against winds.

That’s nice and all, but it still doesn’t negate my argument that the ships in the manga don’t have that many cables running around them which complement the aesthetic of the ships’ bodies if I may add.

I actually think Takao has just as many wires in the manga compared to what the PV shown us...
