So i read an interview with Nomura on Gamespot that the Remake will be very different than the original FF7 including possibly the storyline.

I think they just figured no one would actually read the quote. I read it also thinking "where did he say were deviating?" I mean, I don't disagree that they probably will change some things, but it wasn't anywhere in there.

Between Nomura saying something to the effect of, "Why make the exact same game?" coupled with not actually answering their question of whether or not the narrative will stay the same, the title of the article doesn't sound that off.

Still sounds a bit like making a bigger deal of what was said than there needs to be, and slapping a title like that on it to garner attention, though.

You could use that kind of "logic" for everything in that case though, like "he didn't tell us the release date when we asked... so next article's title will be 'Final Fantasy VII remake delayed by 30 years?' "

Err, no. There's a relatively large difference between Gamespot saying, "Nomura didn't outright say that the story will be exactly the same, so there could be changes," and what you're suggesting. Like I said, though, it still very much sounds like they just wanted an attention-grabbing title.

Didn't they say they we're aiming to make them look like their Advent Children versions? Which seems to be the case if I remember correctly based off of that concept art.

Shouldn't be too hard. I remember seeing those images of them in their classic looks but in the Advent Children CG art style, so that might be a good indicator of how they'll relatively look in the remake. The new character portraits look pretty good, in any case .

If you're referring to what KleenexGhost posted, that Tifa looks nothing like the Advent Children version. She looks more like the original game version.

I'm undecided as to which version I prefer as each of them has their own appeal to me.

Really? I could have sworn Tifa looked like that. I remember that weird suspended positioning with her breasts. But I haven't watched Advent Children in years, so I'm probably remembering wrong.

Right. I expect some changes as it is the nature of remakes, but the headline should match article better instead of obvious clickbaiting.
