Sorry if I sound very harsh. But if things are left as they are, You will slowly disappear from Chika's life and Chika would be too busy with more 'important' things to notice.
But yeah, I hope you can at least understand that my feelings toward Chika are only temporary. I highly doubt what I described above will actually happen. I also don't actually think Chika is a selfish or inconsiderate person, and given the circumstances, I can sorta see why she's being this way towards You, but giving out excuses isn't going to solve anything.

And LOL. That is brilliant. Totally gonna use that not just in LL scenarios.

I feel it's a surprisingly common life event. Many of my once close friends I never speak to anymore. It's sad when you think about it, but I have new friends, and they have new friends, and it's alright. In You's and Chika's case, it's not because they've changed schools, and it's also not mutual. You not only has to deal with slowly losing Chika, she has to deal with Chika being fine (debatable, I know) without her close presence. In the long term, if nothing is done, You will move on, Chika will move on, and it will probably be fine. But because it doesn't have to be that way, it shouldn't be that way.

Honestly, I hope not. The face-slap is overused in fiction in general, Sunshine has already used it once this season, and the LL series as a whole has already used it at least twice.

I'm not exactly sure how I'd like to see the You/Chika/Riko drama unfold, but something similar to the full Aquarium PV might be good. That's probably the right mood to hit with You - More sad and lonely than angry and bitter. A little bit of anger directed towards Chika would be fine, but it probably shouldn't go any farther than a couple sharp sentences.

Perhaps I'm gushing too much but after all this time, I don't think You could get angry at Chika. Disappointed, sure.
I hope it stays true to the Aquarium PV. Running away from your problems isn't respectable, but I prefer that to slapping.

Honestly, you could be right. One strong impression I've developed of Aqours as a whole: With the exception of Kanan, they seem like soft cuddly teddy bears to me.

In other words, totally harmless and with a tendency towards gentleness over, say, tough love. Even with Dia, it feels like intentionally over-the-top theatrics meant to draw attention more than it feels like truly chewing people out. For me, it's a very striking contrast to the OG. Not saying its better or worst, necessarily, but it's certainly different.

In fact - Not just compared to the OG, but also compared to other major idol shows like iM@S and AKB0048. There's no Maki Nishikino, there's no Nico Yazawa, there's no Iori Minase, and there's no Chieri Sono. Sunshine is pretty much edgelord-free.

I honestly find this very interesting, because most idol anime I've watched have at least one or two consistent sources of sharp dialogue and/or tense drama.
