The official US version of the AoxEx site opened and like Durarara!! it's a complete replica of the original site with less features and no fancy effects:

EDIT: 2nd PV released not long ago!

EDIT^2: A pre-screening of the first two (yes two) episodes of AoEx finished about 40 minutes ago in Japan. Reactions on twitter have been positive so far. Not sure how it's like on 2ch or other places but I'm certainly pumped up even more.

I received my copy of the Ao no Exorcist Color Archive and unsurprisingly, we'll be getting anime original characters some of which were designed by the author herself. Here's an early look at their designs for those interested (sorry for the crappy photo):

I can't say I'm surprised, but I'm hoping these'll just be a bonus, and that we'll get a good deal of the manga adapted.

Just a few hours left! I think I read that the OP wouldn't be shown before ep. 2, though.

O-Okay, the ED song itself isn't worth mentioning but parts of the sequence created fissures in my mind orz. I can't wait for the 2nd cour OP/ED change which must not involve 2PM singing or the sequence having... *shudder*. Right, the episode.

I still can't help but break into laughter every time I replay the ED sequence. Imagine a full version of... that... included as a DVD/BD bonus - a truly traumatizing experience that I may not even mind going through.

Edit: The choregraphy seems to be taken from the original PV, too

I really thought we'd end this episode later in the story, which, uh... would probably have made a stronger impact. I can't say there was much of one here, and of course, they had to stick in 2PM's song which, as much as I may like it, is a real moodkiller in this sort of case. Spoiler for Episode 2 spoiler you've heard of if you've seen the trailers: Considering that the latest trailers already spoiled the beginning of the story with a "Rin, you killed our father!" line, it makes it even more baffling not to get to this point here... Also, that ED is scaring me. Spoiler for Picture: ... are we really going to get this as its animation later on? I think I'd die from laughter if we were to get a full dance version of the ED, both with the students and the teachers as shown later on... I'll have to rewatch the episode in a better quality to judge the rest, but the production values seemed as solid as expected, and I can see myself growing to love Sawano's soundtrack. Spoiler for Episode 1: So I guess that was it for the anime original characters highlighted in the visual book . They certainly padded the hell out of the beginning, but it was okay. Quality overall was good and I hope it stays that way. The soundtrack is also promising. Next episode will be when the awesome starts, that's for sure. Last edited by Kakkou; 2011-04-17 at 08:48.
