Very few of the AST are actually trying to kill the Spirits. As Ryoko put it in the first book they are so far out of their league that their job is to keep the spirits focused on them and not the powerless civilians (Shidou wasn't the first normal person Touka targeted. She would have killed a cowering Mikie had Origami and the AST not shown up) and being annoying enough that the spirit leaves. Only Origami or those that came from DEM were ever shown to want to outright kill them.

sad thing is they are causing more damage doing their "damage control" then they would if they just left the spirits alone.

I really thought Origami would would about to read unknown languages when she has Metatron. Maybe the way Origami reads Nia's tome would be interpret differently. Anyway, I expect knew revelations in Vol 14. The volume maybe a continuation of the Nia story.

Also, what happen to Mana is Vol 13?

not exactly since they tend to show up only when space quakes happen and it seems Touka, Kurumi and the twins were the biggest offenders and they were likely to cause just as much if not more damage if left on their own since with the twins if they did not come over silently they were using their powers causing twin hurricanes ,Touka seems to have always had the mindless attack others first mentality and Kurumi is a cold blooded killer. The others likely didn't stick around if they were found out

The twins and Kurumi are one thing but Tohka's mentality towards humans was CAUSED by the constant attacks she received by the AST. They took an attack immediately approach and that just made Tohka think humans only wanted to hurt her so she stopped caring about if she hurt them back.

No Tohka has always had the see people, attack people mentality the ATS just made it worse. It took the whole first book for her to understand the idea of noncombatants as she was still treating everyone they met on her date that were in no way aggressive as threats.

It never said that she always viewed humans like that. To her, every time she appeared she was attacked and that only made her think human only wanted to kill her. She had to be convinced that normal humans weren't going to attack her because she associated humans with the AST.

Sadly Origami is Bloodknight mode. Cue fight to death.
Therefore, she'd never had a chance to meet decent humans AFTER amnesia.

What I am highly curious about is what caused Tohka's amnesia. considering her strength I doubt there was anything that could hit her hard enough to do that. So it must have been one hell of a trauma she suffered potentially before.

Really hoping the next few volumes go into detail on the unknown past of those without info like Tohka, Yoshino, Yamai, and Kurumi
