Well Akino Arai is a heck of a lot better than Nakajima as a singer.

My favorites were Triangular, Diamond Crevasse, Infinity, Aimo (by Ranka), Don't be late, & Lion.

I kinda liked Sheryl's version of Aimo, but I always feel disturbed listening to it...it's like audio porn.

Well, I couldn't have put it better myself. Sheryl's Aimo is like audio porn. It gets you excited for all the right reasons.

You do know Ai mo is a mating song, right?

Awww, I like Nakajima's Aimo. It does have a sweet innocence and child-like quality to it. I think it fits the character she is portraying.

I don't personally like it as much as Maaya or May'n's. Nakajima is really young and less experienced, so there is a certain flatness and lack of emotion in her voice. But I'm sure with time her voice will get stronger. May'n is younger then Megumi but May'n has been singing since she was very young. Not sure about Megumi on that front. There is also the fact that perhaps Megumi is singing that way on purpose to suit the character and we might not know the full capabilities of her voice.

As for all the aimo versions, my favorite is actually the Maaya one. Though I do love Sheryl's very much.

As regards Mamegu's voice range, there was a music video of hers posted on Nico Nico a while back - of what I assume is an original song... didn't really do all that much for me, sadly.

That doesn't mean she has to gasp every five seconds. I'm a big fan of her other songs, but that one...not so much.

Well, to each his own.
I thought it was exquisite, myself. Even more so for the lack of electronic enhancements or even - gasp! - accompanying music.

Ah, I love the Sheryl "Lion" solo so much. I'm going to have it on repeat for a while.

The whole album May'n Street finally leaked out and it's pure love

May'n Space longer version does not help it get any better, OTOH Blue & Glorious Heart are very beautiful ballads, ones that we expect to hear from the Galactic Fairy

And I take back what I said about preferring May'n & Megumi duet of Lion. Sheryl's solo sounds almost the same if not better (and clearly smoother since it was originally reserved for her)

May'n version of Lion pwns, nuff said.

I always thought Lion was made for May'n voice, not Megumi's voice. Megumi's voice really doesn't suit this song. Her Seikan Hikou is great however.

Finally, Sheryl's Lion solo. My favorite song got even better. It sounds really amazing. Can't stop listening...

That would be a great finale song. So many possibilities. Sometimes I wonder why did anyone let Kawamori get near the studio while the last episode was being produced.

EDIT. Though I can't hear Macross Frontier style in her album at all I admit her voice is fantastic. I have a bit mixed feelings about it though. 'Blue', 'Glorious Heart' and 'Why' are great but as I said before, this feeling that it's not in the style we all grew to love keeps nagging me to no end.

I just got my hands on it through "some" means...the actual copy doesn't arrive until end of January for me (I ordered it with the Nakajima Megumi single so they're shipping together).

I'll be spending some time with it deciding if the songs are good.

A quick impression is that they're all pretty good - although I feel BLUE and Glorious Heart are the best ones. Iya Iya is decent. Overall, the slow songs in this one completely outshines the upbeat songs in my opinion.

Lion solo sounds smoother. As musume mentioned, May'n's voice was made for Lion.

Congratulations to May'n. Her first album/mini-album May'n Street debuted on Oricon daily album rankings on #2, losing out only to Kuraki Mai's new album (who is also a very good singer).

A preview of her music video for May'n Space is available at http://www.jvcmusic.co.jp/-/Artist/A021682.html...actually I suspect it's the full video. Just has her dancing and singing and wrecking havoc in some room.

Some fine soul also uploaded it onto Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hrLrV7KHPpA

May'n Space takes a while to get used to, but it's grows on you. M-A-Y-N! I suspect this will become a song that fans can all join in during concerts.
