... man, of all the things that people should be obsessed about... wtf would they be obsessed with SM giving birth to a gob? Lot of people like edginess and think more edgy equal better show. These kind of people like GS for wrong reasons and still didn't became aware its completely different genre.

taking into account that the most violent scenes are being kept minimally faithful, then you can bet that the anime last arc will attract more people like that.

I really don't get it why otakus' virginity is always used as a stigma. It is natural thing. Some will lose it earlier, some later. Why make fun of it?

However, from another point of view I can understand why "purity" is treated so high. Blame the culture instead. Whether it was Hollywood or anime/manga/VNs, they mostly show nonsense that can be summarized as "love" and sex are something sacred. Just look at popular manga and anime, how many of them has stuff like "true love" where male and female characters who love each other stay loyal to each other and do other risky stuff? You can't see things like that in real life. So it is pretty much obvious, why people care.

As for goblin children, that's even more obvious. Honestly, not all people like rape. Logically, they don't like reading about it ether. Furthermore, it is about monsters, so basically zoophilia. Many people are disgusted by this sort of thing. It is normal that people hate it, if it was related with characters they like. Not to mention, Japanese overall have this tendency of weird rape fetishes. I have read a lot of JP content and have seen so much weird and disgusting things such as: tentacle rape, zombies rape, various guro things, worm rape, brain rape etc.

Honestly, liking virgin is nothing strange, and that's apply to both male and female whether it's the west or the east, times come and some change, some not. People want their partner to look at them only or regard their love as only one, liking purity is actually pretty normal.

The issues of rape is pretty much as you have said it, it's not really that strange if people hate it.
