And the scene does resembles Arthas's transformation. Does this means the Frostmourne is finally gracing the domain of Outer-Canaan?

I doubt Sipher's Shoe would do anything to Kha.

Anyway, this is the Initiation for the Destroyers so the purpose of Kha passing is only to prove his faith. Unless in the highly impossible scenario he does want to become a Destroyer.

It depends on what Cipher wanted to take out of Kha's mind. He'd have a way out of either. But this challenge is spoiling the plot though, since I'm using S4 Kha... The pre-AltS Kha wouldn't make it past the first challenge, and the pre-StrikerS one will have problem at the second.

The Order of Freelance Mages

Spoiler for Orignal Report to TSAB Headquarters, June MC050, from the Bureau Ship "Ramza":

We have found a world in an unexplored part of space. Its technology is not yet advanced enough to deem is worthy of TSAB presence, and did not even notice our prescence among them. Our agents discovered that this world has been at war with each other for the past fifty years, causing a rapid advance in military-related techologies (computers, weaponry, flight, and so forth) and yet with non-war subjects they seem to stagnate. Their schools are meager, and many people cannot read or write unless they are going into a field that requires them to know how to do either. The various nations seem to have forgotten the original cause of the war as well, but it does not seem to slow or stop them as they march upon their neighbors. We have deemed this world as suitable to monitor, yet unsuitable to ever be adminitrated into the bureau at large. Perhaps in another fifty years.

Forty years ago, the TSAB witnessed a war that engulfed a world. Without knowing the name of the planet or the cause of the war, they simply called it "Planetary Conflict A on Unadministered World 81" and, shortly following the Ramza incident, used more stealthy methods of infiltration and reconnasiance of the planet. Debris from the Ramza (the ship itself was partly destroyed from multiple nuclear warheads being launched at it) allowed some soldiers to use Devices and in turn use Mid-type magic (this was before the days of Neo-Belkan magic), causing a sudden and abrupt end to the war. Magic, being such a more powerful force than conventional weaponry, forced the various nations to adopt a different method of thought.

Ironically, the discovery of powerful weaponry caused this world to eliminate war altogether. The country that the Ramza crash-landed in, known as Erusia, became such an unstoppable juggernaut that within a year they had subjugated most of the rest of the world under their might. They rapidly assimilated the TSAB equipment and technology into their own, and thus began to mass-produce mages (nothing spectacular, mind you). By the time the TSAB could rally a sizeable rescue operation and deploy to this planet, they were greeted with anti-ship weaponry from the ground and from space. Not having expected more than nuclear arms, the TSAB's paltry fleet of two destroyers and six patrol ships was quickly decimated. A distress call from the Ramza's sister ship, the "Alma", noted that the inhabitants of the planet used the weaponry and the pull of the planet itself to force the small fleet onto the planet itself.

Following this rapid shift of events, the TSAB quickly organized a counterattack, hoping to reverse the damage their advanced technology had caused to the planet. Their efforts were too late for the TSAB, however. By MC056 they had used planetary Time Flux spells to advance one hundred years in the span of six months, causing the deaths of millions of mages on the world yet advancing them to the point that, when the 5th Fleet arrived in orbit, the world had a fleet of ten cruisers and nearly twice that in destroyers, plus the anti-ship defense system they had already placed. The TSAB warfleet never stood a chance.

Shortly after this, the TSAB received a transmission from World 081: A declaration of war for crimes against the government, along with a list of fabricated lies, including one that determined they were the cause of the war which ravaged their world for fifty years. An offer of surrender was also given, saying that if the TSAB surrendered they wouldn't glass Midchilda with their weapons. As proof of their unbiased and unbased hatred of the TSAB, they sent a live video feed of POW execution.

This led to a conflict known as the Ulysses War. TSAB and world 081 (which also started calling itself Erusia) clashed violently over the course of three years, from MC056 to MC059. Much of the battlefield was space itself during the early months of the war, but the combined TSAB might forced the war onto the ground within eight months of constant attacking and counterattacking. For many, this is when the real war began.

Using a mix of convential weaponry (guns and missiles) along with Mid-type magic, the Erusians fought the TSAB on land and in the sky. It was during this part of the conflict that many aces of the past would receive their colors, including a certain known at the time known as "Spectrum 3" (but that's another tale). Lindy Harlown would become an Admiral during this session of the war, and using a mix of TSAB Navy and Army, would help take over a large swath of Erusia known as Yuktobania and the major city there, Cinigrad.

Having taken over a major area of Erusia, the TSAB asked the government if they wanted to surrender. Amazingly (and yet somehow unsurprisingly), the Erusians agreed to have peace talks, and so the two sides met in space on-board the TSAB vessel L'Arc, the Asura's precursor. During the meeting, it was revealed that this was all a ruse, and the Erusian delegate had an extremely powerful bomb ingested to elude detection (anti-matter, neutronium, nuke, you decide) and detonated it, killing himself and tearing the L'Arc asunder. Simultaneously, a fleet of Erusian ships turned their cannons on their own planet, glassing that section of Erusia totally, eliminating a large portion of TSAB prescence, Yuktonbania, the continent Anea, parts of Anatarctica and the lives of over 4.1 billion civilians.

It's interesting to note that, during this time, it seemed like the citizens supported every move of the government, even when it meant killing civilians. A few scientists would note this and later find that a subtle mind-afflicting technology had been implemented into the psychology of the planet's citizens, rendering them unable to perceive anything the government did as being cruel or wrong. So strong was this brainwashing that to this day, comm interceptions from Erusia only have praises for their government and its leaders.

The glassing of Erusia occurred on the year MC059.
It also caused the TSAB to fall back.

Unable at the time to cope with a force that was willing to do anything to kill them, even kill its own planet, the TSAB asked for a cease-fire; essentially, "I don't touch your lawn, you don't touch ours." Erusia agreed to this and signed the cease fire, but her leaders promised that, "In fifty years, we will have advanced five hundred, and you will be unable to stop us when we destroy your homeworld of Mid-childa."

Spoiler for Post-War:

To this day, no less than three active TSAB fleets rest within one jump of Erusia (parts of these fleets were deployed to Midchilda in Nanoha StrikerS). The world has once again gone under a time flux, powered by countless mages, as they advance themselves at ten times the speed of the rest of the universe. No one leaves or enters the planet, and the satellite system that orbits the planet has turned into a polyhedric network of cannons, missile launchers, and what appear to be anti-matter cannons, though it's unsure.

The only natives from Erusia were children during the war. These children were brought off the planet by retreating TSAB forces and scientists, either trying to save their lives, hoping to unlock magical potential, or sometimes simply because they were told to. During the TSAB's evacuation of Erusia during its glassing, no less than 10000 children were brought off, though many died due to the inability to care for them all.

A group of these children formed the Order of Freelance Mages, a group of TSAB-administered mages that have a bit more leeway than the average group. This group of mages are not heralded for their high magic ability - among a group of 60, only 1 is S+ and 4 are S rank - but for their versatility in dealing with potential threats to the TSAB. Each mage is not only versed in Mid-type or Neo Belkan-type magic, but each member also has a special conventional battlefield function - medic, sniper, infiltrator, heavy weapons, and so forth - and each are also taught the ways of "convential" weapons. A mage is just as likely to be armed with a Device as they are a .45 caliber pistol. Because of this versatility, they can infiltrate worlds that have no magic to speak of. They have been branded as something of outcasts in traditional mage society (indeed, some OFM mages prefer their submachine guns over their swords), but none are looked down upon. They're friends with the average soldier rather than the Ace, and are more willing to go out of their way to rescue civilians, even if it means betraying orders and revealing their magical nature.

It's all thanks to the will of Erick von Long. The OFM leader masqueraded as a TSAB soldier during the evacuation. At first, he had been ordered to find a way to disrupt the TSAB from the inside, but contact with those not of his kind opened his nice and removed many of the brainwashing effects (though he still holds some loyalty to his world, even today). He officially defected to the TSAB on MC061, and hasn't looked back since. Together with the OFM, they hope to prevent the atrocity that is their homeworld from ever happening again.

Hmm, while it's intereasting backstory, it also raises some questions...

1) You say that they discovered devices amongst the wreckage. In space? Or had it crashed to the ground? I find it hard to belive that they would have the time to launch into space during this war that you say is going on. Otherwise, the descent through the atmosphere would have further destroyed bits of the wreckage.

2) Most the storage devices that we've seen don't have an ai, so where does the sudden burst of knowledge about magic come from.

3) Time flux? Where the heck did that come from? I can't see the TSAB having spells like that stored in memory on board their ships/devices, since there's massive opportunites for things to go wrong with this. SO you're saying that they came up with this spell from scratch?

4) After the ceasefire and the threat given, you don't think that the TSAB would just cut their losses and repeatedly arc the whole place?

The time came and everyone entered the chapel and sat down.
Carim stood at the altar, with Sister Schach at her side.

Koji walked to them wearing the armor for this ceremony, which consisted mostly of padded leather and metal plates. [Something like THIS ]
When he stopped next to Carim, she spoke, "I would like to thank you all for being here in this day, where Squire Koji will take the trial to become a Knight."
The audience applauded, and Koji looked at them, finding Yui and Maren among the crowd.
Yui noticed his look and smiled, then Koji looked at Maren, she hesitated a bit but smiled as well, Koji found that odd.

When the audience stopped applauding, Carim spoke again, "You may ask yourselves 'What is a Knight?'"
Carim paused and then continued, "It isn't just someone who is strong, but someone who has the wisdom and skill to overcome any obstacle and only uses his power to protect those in need."
"This final trial, the Knight's Ordeal, is where those who want to become Knights learn to master themselves." Carim explained.
"With this said, it is time to take Squire Koji to the place where he shall take the trial." Carim turned to Koji, and he nodded.

Carim then turned to the audience and said, "While Squire Koji is taking the trial, feel free to leave the chapel and take a walk in the courtyard."
"Squire Koji, this way please..." she said before starting to walk, Koji and Sister Schach followed her.

(Onii-chan...) Yui said mentally.
Stopping, Koji looked at her.
(Ganbatte) She smiled.
Koji smiled confidently, nodded and continued to follow Carim.

Carim and Schach led him along the stairway that went deep underground.
"Knight Carim, if I may ask, what will I be facing?" Koji asked as he looked at her back.
"I'm sorry, but even I don't know that..." She replied.
"Eh?" Koji blinked."What do you mean?"
"You see, the place where the Knight's Ordeal is taken has a spell on it." Schach replied for Carim.
"A spell?" As he said that they entered a hallway and continued walking.

"Well, a spell isn't the right word, but that's the best way we can describe it...it's like it's alive." Carim explained.
"Alive?" Koji wasn't expecting such remark.
"You'll understand once you enter it." She looked back at him and smiled.
"O-okay..." He nodded.

Reaching a door, Schach opened it and they entered a large room filled with weapons.
"W-whoa...." Koji was amazed at the amount of weapons that were displayed.
"Choose whichever weapon you'd like." Carim told him.

Koji nodded and walked to them, "Are these...devices?" He asked as he turned to her.
Carim shook her head, "They are normal weapons, forged and reinforced with magic, made for this trial."
"I see..." He looked again at the weapons.

There was much to choose from, there were daggers, axes, poles, rapiers, halberds, long swords and great swords, and many more other types of weapons.
Koji expression saddened, "I feel sorry for them..." He said.
"Eh?" Carim and Schach blinked.
"They're all here, alone, with no one using them." He continued.
Carim giggled, "Koji-san, you're a really nice person, you know?"
"I'm sorry, I'm saying wierd things..." He turned to them.

Carim shook her head, "Not at all, but...this is what I think..." She paused as she brought her hands to her chest.
"I believe that they are patiently waiting for their masters, the ones who will wield them and pass the trial with their help." She smiled warmly.
Schach nodded at her comment, "I believe the same."
"Also, the blacksmith that forged these weapons poured his soul and passion into each one of them, they will not fail their master." Carim added,
"Waiting for their masters..." He repeated, then smiled. "Yes." He nodded and turned to the weapons, examining them.

As he looked at them, he saw something shine, "Eh? What's that?" He blinked.
Moving the other weapons out of the way, he uncovered a sword an amethyst embedded into the crossguard.
"This one!" He turned to them holding it.
"Oh, a bastard sword...a fitting choice for you." Carim smiled. "Go on, unsheathe it"

As Koji did so, he noticed that something was engraved on the flat side of it, "Schritt?" He blinked.
Carim nodded, "It means 'step', it may either mean this step you are taking towards becoming a knight or may have a deeper meaning." She smiled.
"I see..." He raised the sword above his head and looked at it shine with the room's lighting. "yoroshiku, Schritt."
"Well then, shall we continue?" Carim asked.
"Yes." He nodded and sheathed Schritt, attaching the scabbard to his belt.

Carim and Schach led him to a small room with a stone door with a sort of pedestal at the right of it.
They walked to the pedestal and Koji saw an imprint of a hand on it.
"Place your right hand on the pedestal." Carim said as she turned to it.
"But..." Koji hesitated because the hand engraved on it was slender like a female hand.
"Don't worry, just do it." She smiled.

Koji nodded and did as she asked.
The moment Koji place his hand on it, a pair of crimson eyes opened elsewhere as if awakening from its slumber...
The pedestal glowed softly and to Koji's surprise, his hand fit perfectly.
"The imprint changed..." Koji said as the glow faded away.

The door opened and Koji looked at what was inside, at first it was dark, but soon enough torches lit up the way.
The tunnel was neatly build in stone, it didn't resemble a cave as Colt had told him...

Carim gently stepped back, "This is as far as I go, from here you go on your own."
Koji nodded and prepared to enter.
"Oh, one more thing..." Carim said.
"Yes?" Koji turned and saw Carim next to him, "Eh?"

Carim leaned forward and kissed Koji on the cheek, "Good luck." She smiled.
"C-Carim-san?" Koji blushed.
"Don't worry, this is a custom done before the trial." She giggled.
"I-I see..." He tittered.
"Sister Schach will head back to the chapel, I will be waiting on the other side."
"Okay..." Koji replied and prepared to walk through when...
"Koji-san..." Carim called him.
"Yes?"
"Remember that once you enter, you can only go forward, no matter which way you head to..."
"O-okay..." He nodded and went through the door.

Carim waved at him, then the door closed.
"I'm on my own now..." He said and kept walking.

As he walked, he raised an eye brow, "'no matter which way'? As far as I can see, this tunnel only goes forward, how...eh!"
When Koji looked behind him, there was no longer a door there, or even an end. "W-what?" Koji was still taken aback.
"Is this what Carim-san meant by 'alive'? Anywa- wah???" When he looked forward he saw that there were now several tunnels to choose from.
"What the?" He looked at the tunnels, (Which one...which one should I take?)

Koji has 7 tunnels in front of him, he walked to each one of them and looked at the end, they all seemingly continued forward with no end in sight.
(They all look alike...but if there are choices, that means each one of them takes me to some place, to some kind of challenge.) He pondered.

"This one!" He said as he pointed at the second one from the right, but then it dissappeared, becoming a wall, "EH?"
"Then...that one!" He turned to the middle one, and disappeared as well, "Hmmm...."
Without even shouting, he ran towards the leftmost path, but it closed as well and he smashed into it.
"Ittetetetette~" Taking a couple steps back, he winced as he brought a hand to his face.

"Well, it's not an illusion, and if it is, it's a pretty solid one..." He knocked at the wall he smashed into.
He turned to the other paths and said, "Let's see what...huh?" He then noticed that the second closest path had a symbol carved on the floor.
(Hmm...this is the Belkan cross, so this must be the right path...) He looked at it, and nothing happened, Koji nodded and started walking.

Meanwhile...
In a darkened room, the owner of those crimson eyes raised its head and smirked, "This one is amusing." and giggled softly.

Location: “Lulu” & Shirley’s Apartment, Residential District, Mid-Childia
Time: 1030 MST

As Arcas slowly gained consciousness, shaking off the drowsiness of sleep, he became aware of one fact: that this was NOT the Delphinus, by any stretch of the imagination. He spent a few moments puzzling over where he was, then remembered.

That’s right – after Mel and I were done at Zero’s last night, we followed Lulu and Shirley back to their apartment for the night. He took a moment to look over at the chair were Lulu had decided to sleep – the two men had had… reservations about sharing the same bed, so they’d decided to rock-paper-scissors for who got the bed. That was until Shirley had bonked her boyfriend over the head, saying that Arcas was their guest, and that they needed to show hospitality.

As Arcas focused on the chair, he found that Lulu no longer occupied it. The Dragonslayer found himself wondering where he had gone, until he felt movement behind him.

Ah, now it all makes sense… whatever reservations he may have had about sharing beds with a guy were voided when he tried to sleep in that chair.

Unfortunately, Arcas was VERY wrong. As he turned to face the other waking person, he discovered just how wrong he was.

His bedmate wasn’t Shirley’s boyfriend.

It was HIS girlfriend.

And she wasn’t wearing much clothing, from what he could see.

Mel was currently resting on her forelegs, yawning, and leaning forward slightly.

The Dragonslayer felt his face begin to heat up at the show his girl was giving him, and though he tried to look away, couldn’t force his gaze away from Mel’s… assets.

Now properly awake, Mel noticed precisely where her boyfriend was staring. A sexy, sultry smile crossed her face, and she couldn’t help but tease him.

“Like what you see?”

“Huh?” Arcas responded.

“Would you like to see MORE?” she asked, fingering the buttons of Arcas’ shirt.

“Well – I – uh – um – well – I – that is –”

That was when Arcas heard footsteps behind him, and swiveled his head. Mel looked around him at the new arrival: Shirley. Shirley took one look at the scene, smiled knowingly, and said:

“Looks like I interrupted you in the middle of something. But don’t mind me! Carry on! I’m just going to make breakfast!”

“Shirley, wait! This isn’t what you think it i–” Arcas was cut off by Mel, who threw her arms around him, and clamped down on his neck, morphing his statement of denial into a brain-melting moan of pleasure. Shirley merely smiled, and waved to Mel, who waved back as she continued to suck on her boyfriend’s neck. Arcas tried to resist – he really did, but as Mel’s ministrations continued, he felt the fight go out of him, and simply melted into his beloved’s embrace.

When she was done, Mel released him, and Arcas slowly began to regain his mental capabilities. The young lovers embraced, and Mel rested her head on the Dragonslayer’s shoulder. The Lady Saint giggled softly, and Arcas looked down.

“What is it?”

“Oh, it’s nothing.”

“Noo, it’s not. Tell me what it is.”

“Do you insist, good sir knight?”

“I do, milady.”

“Very well, then.”

Mel hauled herself up so she could speak directly into Arcas’ ear.

“O-ha-yo…”

Arcas recognized the tone.

She’s done this every morning since that night on Earth… “O-ha-yo… Ar-ca-s.”

The Dragonslayer, however, was wrong yet again.

“…a-na-ta.”

Upon hearing the highly affectionate term, Arcas responded by relieving himself of his consciousness.

Or, in simpler terms…

He fainted.


When Arcas awoke again, he found himself propped up against the back of the couch-bed, Mel snuggled up to him. The Dragonslayer looked down, and brushed a few stray wisps of hair from her eyes. The Lady Saint looked up to him.

“Hello.”

“Hi,” she responded.

Neither one sure how to continue, they lapsed back into silence, holding each other, until Mel revived the dialogue.

“Soo, what’d you think of my greeting?”

“It was, well – uhm… different.”

Mel laughed. “Oh, come ON! You practically fainted dead away in my arms!”

“I did not faint.”

“Yes, you did – and it was the CUTEST thing, just like you!”

“I am not cute.”

“Yes, you are.”

“No, I’m not – I am a man. And men are handsome, not cute.”

“Whatever, cutie. But you DID faint.”

“I did not!”

“Oh really? Then what happened?”

“I… passed out. From… manly hunger!”

“You don’t sound hungry to me…”

“Well, I am.”

The Lady Saint began to move towards the edge of the bed.

“Well then, I’ll just go get you someth–” she was interrupted by Arcas’ hand curling around the collar of his shirt, and pulling her backwards.

“Not that kind of hunger, love…” he stated before slid his arms around her and kissed her full on the lips. Mel’s eyes fluttered shut, and she wound her arms around her Dragonslayer’s neck as she responded to him.

Mel straddled Arcas’ legs as she pressed harder against his lips – kissing him was more addicting than any drug. She moaned in pleasure, her eyes rolling up into her head, as she felt his tongue slowly slip its way into her mouth. She responded in kind, moving her tongue against his, and tightening her grip on his neck. Mel felt a hand slide under the shirt she was wearing, and come to rest against the small of her back, drawing lazy lines across it. Mel broke the kiss, and rested against her boyfriend’s body, her mind flooded with bliss.

Arcas, meanwhile, continued to work his magic on his girlfriend’s back. He noticed that as he did, putting his hand under the shirt had caused it to slide up Mel’s body, exposing a pair of frilly pink panties. No longer thinking with the head on his shoulders, his other hand slid down to her panty-clad bottom, and squeezed. The Lady Saint moaned into his ear, and Arcas snapped back to reality.

“I’m sorry! I wasn’t thinking–”

“Do it again,” Mel groaned.

He was about to when they were interrupted in flagrante delicto by Shirley.

“Breakfast is ready!”


The young Phantasms now sat at the table, eating breakfast, and occasionally shooting dirty looks at Shirley.

“Did you REALLY have to interrupt us like that?”

“You guys sounded like you were making your own porn movie in there! I couldn’t even focus on eating breakfast!”

“C’mon, onee-chan. We’re adults – we know when enough is enough.”

“I don’t know… if I hadn’t butted in, Mel might have started some… biological baking, if you catch my drift.”

Both blushed, but continued to glare at Shirley. Silence hung over the room for a few moments until Arcas brought up a new subject.

“Say, Mel…”

“Yes?”

Arcas indicated the MEN’s shirt she was wearing.

“Why are you wearing my dress shirt?”

“Well, you see, after we got here…”



“Mou, onee-chan! This one doesn’t fit either!” Shirley looked at the pajama shirt Mel was currently wearing. Despite it being her biggest one, on Mel, it left little to the imagination.

“First, none of my pants fit you because you’re too short. Now none of my shirts will fit either?” Shirley sighed in frustration. “Why do you have to have such huge tits?!”

Mel looked down at the floor. “I’m sorry, onee-chan.”

Shirley exhaled, a bemused smile on her face. She embraced her childhood imouto from behind, wrapping her arms around her shoulders. “It’s okay. I can see now why guys at the Academy wouldn’t stop hitting on you. They’re rather attractive, actually – I wish I had a pair like yours.”

“Onee-chan…”

“But enough about that. We need to find you something to wear.”

“What about Lulu-kun’s stuff?”

“Nah. He and I are about the same body type – if my stuff doesn’t fit, his definitely won’t.”

“So… what do I wear? Or do I have to go…naked?”

“Relax, Mel. You won’t have to sleep naked, I promise.” Shirley scratched the side of her nose. “What about Arcas’ clothes?”


“And we found that your shirt fits Mel-chan the best – though it’s not perfect…”

Upon that statement, everyone looked to the shirt Mel was wearing – and Shirley was right. While it didn’t expose everything, Arcas could see traces of the curves of Mel’s chest, and depending on the angle, flashes of cleavage. Mel instinctively covered herself.

“Mou, stop staring…it’s embarrassing.”

After they were done with breakfast, Mel and Arcas redressed, and headed down to the Phantasmobile.

“Thanks for everything, Onee-chan.”

“It’s no problem. And here.” Shirley handed over a key. “You ever need a place to come be alone, it’s open.”


Location: Highways of Mid-Childia

As the two Phantasms drove back to Yzak Base, the ride was initially quiet.

“So, what’d you think?”

“Shirley’s a good person. Though I wish that she hadn’t walked in on us like that…”

“True. But she IS right – if she hadn’t stopped us, there’s no telling WHAT could have happened.”

“I suppose…”

“She is! And you and I need to come up with something so that I don’t end up eating for two!”

“All right, all right…”

There was another few moments worth of silence while they both pondered.

“Three pieces.”

“What?”

“Three pieces of clothes – that’ll be our standard. If either of us get under three pieces of clothing, then we stop right away.”

“And that’s supposed to stop us how?”

“What are the first three pieces of clothing that you put on in the morning?”

“Well...”

“You don’t need to say anything. Now, logic tells us that when we undress, we go in the opposite order of when you dress. I mean, you don’t take your underwear off first when you undress, right?”

“Right, ‘cause you can’t get to it. But logic doesn’t necessarily operate when you’re in the heat of the moment.”

“Not constructive logic, no. Instinctive logic does, though, and that’s the type of logic that tells us how to do things we’ve been doing forever.”

“Like getting dressed.”

“Precisely. So, can you work with that?”

“I think so.”

A pause.

“Hey.”

“Yeah?”

“Do you think… I mean… do you want to… I, uhm…”

“Do I think about having kids?”

“Yeah.”

A nod. “ I do – though probably not as much as you do.”

“That’s probably true – I do think about it a great deal since you and I happened.”

“You want kids pretty badly, then?”

“Just yours – and no one else’s.”

“You know what all that entails, right?”

“I know, and it does scare me – I won’t deny it. But,” here the speaker closed their eyes, “it’s one experience that I truly want. Feeling it grow inside me, and then giving it life…”

A chuckle. “As long as you know what you’re signing up for…”

“I do. But don’t worry – I’m in no rush – not yet.”


Location: RAF Patrol Ship Delphinus, Yzak Base, Velka SAR, Mid-Childia

The Phantasmobile pulled up in the Delphinus’ hangar, and both Arcas and Mel hopped out. Proceeding inside, they found Boomer working on the engine block.

“We’re back!” Mel announced.

“So you are,” Boomer observed.

“Where’s the Major?” Arcas asked.

“Off at Central, trying to get us back on the roster – what else?”

“Right,” Arcas replied, rolling his eyes.

“So, nothing for the day?”

“Nope, nothing, milady.”

With that, Mel scampered off.

“Where’re you going?”

“Gonna go and get lunch, then visit Division 6. You wanna come?”

“Not really. How about you, Arcas? Want to be the lady’s escort?”

“If she’ll have me.”

“Of course I will!”

Then, she disappeared. Arcas watched her go.

“Soo, you have a good time last night?”

“Knock it off, Boomer. I don’t know what perverted ideas you have in your head, but they didn’t happen.”

The sniper sighed. “Kid, if you don’t risk doing a least a few ‘perverted’ things, you’re never gonna understand women.”

Arcas whirled on him. “I’m not interested in understanding women. I’m interested in understanding ‘woman.’ As in the singular. As in JUST ONE!” The Dragonslayer sighed. “Maybe that’s why I’ve got a g–” Arcas cut himself off, realizing what he was about to say.

I gotcha now, kid…

“Got a what?”

Arcas exhaled, racking his brain for an answer. “Got a gaggle of girls interested in me, without any of your manipulative mumbo-jumbo.”

Gotta hand it to him: kid performs under pressure.

“Maybe so. But we’ll see – betcha 20 creds I get one before you do.”

“No bet – getting her’s not the end. It’s getting her and KEEPING her that’s the test. Now, if you’ll excuse me…”

And with that, Arcas left to join Mel for lunch. Boomer chuckled to himself, then stopped as a memory flashed across his awareness. He shook his head.

No. I left her a long time ago – I decided to move on with my life. This is the way things should be – the way I like them. Not gonna let some dame ruin my life.

At the same time, the fact that Signum actually mentioned the line about their Knight Armor to Hayate, which prompted her to think up their current designs means that previous masters must've cared somewhat even if jackasses, since it IS something that ups the Knight's battle potential.

Personally, I just think that the manga artist doesn't bother to personally draw something new. After all, that manga page was more of a visual imagery to show how they've been living their life before Hayate.

As expected from one who treasures her friends. I had forgot the implications of Neltharion's descent on Earth and the weight that she would have to carry throughout her life, while no fault of hers that she survived, she's going to have think real hard for what purpose she has to do while carrying that burden for the rest of her life. The part of her nearly killing Nanoha is superb material though, gotta mention that.

It was during the draining of her Linker Core in A's. Keroko and Tesla were fighting above a forest world when masked Lotte interfered and slammed his hand through her chest, exposing her Core. Tesla was at first hesitant to take the Core, but Lotte reminded her that she didn't have time to be hesitant. Tesla proceeded draining her Core, but in doing so she also weakened the seal around the corrupted part. As the red in the Core slowly faded, the black began apearing. Keroko began to hear voices, fragments of Neltharion's memory. As she unconsiously began to realize what was going to happen, she grabbed hold of Lotte's arm with both her hands, Lotte realized what was happening as Keroko's hands shifted her atention back to Keroko's Linker Core, which was now pulsing with black energy. She tried to pull away, but Keroko's grip was now like a wrench. With a last pulse the dark energy exploded out of the Core in a torrent of wild energies, which tore through the defenses of Lotte's Barrier Jacket. She managed to pull away before her hand was burned to a crisp, and after she realized what had happened, decided to evacuate, advising Tesla to do the same.

Tesla didn't leave, though, and fought the now berserk Keroko. The burst of power was enough to drive Tesla to the edge of the abillities she had used so far, and she was about to get serious before Nanoha showed up, drawing Keroko's atention. Nanoha tried to get through to Keroko, who launched an attack at her, but stopped before it could hit. She then forced the released energy back into her. Without the seal, though, and with being forced back the energies were running rampant, destroying her body from the inside. Tesla aproached the two and casted a quick barrier to stop the energy from causing more damage. She advised Nanoha to take Keroko to a hospital as soon as possible and left. Later in the hospital, Keroko was diagnosed as 'unfit to fight for at least a week and goddamn lucky' due to the fact that the energies were flowing outwards at such speed, they didn't really have much time to damage the body, but the short while they had been had put her out of commision for a week, leaving Keroko injured and with a lot of guilt.

The first stage is easy for Keroko. Multi targeting is one of her specialties aftr all.

The second stage is conciderably harder, as it goes against Keroko's entire defensive style.

The third.... is utterly, completely, unavoidably impossible for Keroko to pass. After all, even though Keroko can't even remember her original mother, the one that would apear would most likely be Momoko.

Fortunately, Keroko doesn't have to worry about those tests, as this is what most likely would happen.

The two apear next the broken mansion, just in time to see a pillar of lava smash into it. Sipher crosses his arms and tilts his head.

Sipher: That certainly never happened before, I wonder why?

A large tremble shakes the land, causing what was left of the mansion to collapse. Sipher merely wobbles and turns around.

Sipher: Oh, that's why.

First come first serve is an important pilicy when it comes to possesing bodies, and right now Sipher stares up at the gargantuan form of Neltharion. Or rather as he is now called... Deathwing the destroyer.

The small shard of Neltharion's essence has taken form in Keroko's mind. And he is not happy to find others prowling around on his territory.

This question, at least, is easy to answer. The arc doesn't have enough range, the oribital defense have pushed the fleet out of range to use it against the planet.
But, if the entire planet's population is under the Time Flux field, that suggests a weakness in their defense. They no longer have a mobile fleet and depend solely on fixed installations for defense. The most practical way to deal with this is to launch a saturation missle storm. Bury the turrents under more missles than they can handle.

At the same time, the fact that Signum actually mentioned the line about their Knight Armor to Hayate, which prompted her to think up their current designs means that previous masters must've cared somewhat even if jackasses, since it IS something that ups the Knight's battle potential.

Personally, I just think that the manga artist doesn't bother to personally draw something new. After all, that manga page was more of a visual imagery to show how they've been living their life before Hayate.

Or maybe their previous masters just wanted something tight and short for eyecandy...

I see. That would be Caliburn, Saber's first sword which she lost(?) and later on obtained Excalibur and Avalon. I can't tell that much with Excalibur but Caliburn is clearly a bastard sword after your comparisons. Though I had no idea sword length had to be considered too.

It was during the draining of her Linker Core in A's. Keroko and Tesla were fighting above a forest world when masked Lotte interfered and slammed his hand through her chest, exposing her Core. Tesla was at first hesitant to take the Core, but Lotte reminded her that she didn't have time to be hesitant. Tesla proceeded draining her Core, but in doing so she also weakened the seal around the corrupted part. As the red in the Core slowly faded, the black began apearing. Keroko began to hear voices, fragments of Neltharion's memory. As she unconsiously began to realize what was going to happen, she grabbed hold of Lotte's arm with both her hands, Lotte realized what was happening as Keroko's hands shifted her atention back to Keroko's Linker Core, which was now pulsing with black energy. She tried to pull away, but Keroko's grip was now like a wrench. With a last pulse the dark energy exploded out of the Core in a torrent of wild energies, which tore through the defenses of Lotte's Barrier Jacket. She managed to pull away before her hand was burned to a crisp, and after she realized what had happened, decided to evacuate, advising Tesla to do the same.

Tesla didn't leave, though, and fought the now berserk Keroko. The burst of power was enough to drive Tesla to the edge of the abillities she had used so far, and she was about to get serious before Nanoha showed up, drawing Keroko's atention. Nanoha tried to get through to Keroko, who launched an attack at her, but stopped before it could hit. She then forced the released energy back into her. Without the seal, though, and with being forced back the energies were running rampant, destroying her body from the inside. Tesla aproached the two and casted a quick barrier to stop the energy from causing more damage. She advised Nanoha to take Keroko to a hospital as soon as possible and left. Later in the hospital, Keroko was diagnosed as 'unfit to fight for at least a week and goddamn lucky' due to the fact that the energies were flowing outwards at such speed, they didn't really have much time to damage the body, but the short while they had been had put her out of commision for a week, leaving Keroko injured and with a lot of guilt.

I remember touching on this some time back, Abrams's session with Nanoha and Keroko, though the attack on Nanoha was unknown back then.

Very good, very good but would you say Neltharion's corruption has since gained greater hold and with all seals, tend to wear down over time, that the stronger force within her would eventually break through one day?

To fix the characters would be nice but since the characters in question never did come under the area of the OC thread, how would it be troublesome? Connected by canon and fanfiction yes but since his works are entirely in a area of his own I don't think some rules here apply to him.
