I have seen it and I recommend it. The story actually emphasizes the sports aspect of it for the most part. The fanservice is also much more toned-down compared to Free. The character development follows the same formula as seen in a typical shounen series and there is a fair amount of it. The only criticism that I've for this show is the sports aspect of it which is highly exaggerated at times from how the sports is actually played. Even then I found the show entertaining enough to sit through the whole series.

I did watch Kuroko's Basketball...at least episode one. It was okay though I like how the MC is just *____* the whole time Kind of like how Haru was in the beginning.

^^ CR has a few titles like Free! where they have the home distribution license as well as the streaming license because the two licenses were a package deal. CR has zero interest in getting into the home distribution market. So they found a partner (Discotek) who would take over the home distribution part of the license for these titles. (Like a subcontract, I suppose.) That way the titles won't forever be streaming only. From what I've heard, there aren't many titles where CR has the home license as well as the stream license, so I'm not expecting to hear this happening very often.
