I'm going to post this in the main Shana thread and not the movie thread, as I construe the OVA to be an integral part of the anime series.

The official Shakugan no Shana website has updated information regarding the OVA release here.

Titled OVA Shakugan no Shana Special Koi to Onsen no Kougai Gakushuu! (恋と温泉の校外学習!=The Extra Curricular Lesson on Love and Onsen (Hot Springs)), the OVA will be released on December 8th.

Spoiler for Shakugan no Shana OVA synopsis:

Hm, in the way many OVA proprietary releases are, I suppose this is an all-out comedy episode where there isn't much fighting going on, which probably will be reserved for the movie, that is if it follows the anime plotline.

This is a nice bonus, but would be better if a Shana-tan episode could be included as well (although a Shana-tan mini-figurine will be enclosed).

Is it just me, or does the synopsis for the OVA sound very much like the PS2 game? I don't have the game nor know its exact timeframe (when it takes place), but it sounds quite similar. Maybe the OVA is an animated version of the PS2 game?

The Strawberry Panic legion was hard to break, but eventually, Shana-tan did not disappoint and has managed beat off the challenge from Nagisa.

I was expecting bath towels in a hot spring. You don't go into a hot spring in swimsuits.

Giving us a hot springs episode where all the girls are in swimsuits is torture of the mind, not to mention that they don't do that in real life, so there's no reason to have the girls in swimstuis instead od bath towels unless it's to torture us.

And we already had a swimsuit episode.

All types of excited about the OVA cant wait the premise seems ok the screen shots were cool dont know if i can wait till Dec. Anybody know if this is one shot one kill OVA or are we getting multiples?
