The sword, to me, is just a symbol - a symbol that Asuna is now a standalone, and doesn't NEED a partner, aka is no longer dependent on Negi.

You take THAT, and add the Ensis, along with the Kankaho that Takamichi taught her, and practically the only character who can beat her in the series is Negi himself, and POSSIBLY Takamichi - and THAT's only because Negi's no longer a traditional mage.

Unless they're like Negi or Takamichi, and practice something ELSE in addition to normal magic, Asuna will win. Hands down.

Reinforce is out for blood and fires her Diablolic Emission and the huge-ass souped up version of SLB at the duo but the city remains just about unchanged, aside from looking slightly black and pinkish. Her unintentional rampaging powers did more physical damage as I recalled.

I'm not even gonna try and argue about Nodoka's place in Negima, or what Tk and Keroko think of her. It's rather pointless defending your reasons to like someone/something just because others don't, and like/dislike is highly subjective. I only butt in if another person's opinion is based off erroneous info, and here I kinda acknowledge Nodoka's flaws as a Shinobu V.2 character, even though she's leagues better than Shinobu and other shy girls in her category.

What matters to me, is that I like Nodoka as a character who appeals to me, despite of, or because of those flaws, and that's that.

Background: 13 yaers old during the Subjugation War, grew up and joined the TSAB army for a 5-year stint. Came out and went to the OFM, and is a key member of the heavy assault unit. Franz goes by the name of "Jack" in the field, for unknown reasons; it's been suggested that it's short for Jackass or Jack Offer...

He has a younger sister, Naomi, whom he adopted after finding her by the river in a combat zone, and he adopted her due to his guilt at killing her parents. He's been a dutiful brother to her, although it seems now that Naomi doesn't quite think of him as an older brother only...

Anything else you can think of: Uses a semiauto pistol chambered for .454 Voychek, a pistol caliber very similar to Earth's .454 Casull. This is his backup weapon, although he isn't really pwn with it, and is a better knife fighter than a gunfighter. He's also skilled in the use of chemically propelled firearms, and is an avid devotee of the Earth God known as "Guiness."

That's because most internet arguments on such matters start with "I like this better than that because that sucks" kinda thing, and the other person going "no she doesn't, yours suck not mine" and so on, until people throw around their opinions as fact and distort facts to fit their argument.

You like something better than the one I like, no problem. They outright hate something we like, not my problem (unless their reasons for hating it stem from such blatantly illogical, irrational and erroneous reasoning). Unless there are real dire consequences for people not liking one character over the other asides from matters of pride, it's just best to acknowledge that people's preferences are subjective.

What's important is that YOU know YOUR preference, no matter what anybody else says.

Without a stable source of magic, Spica could not substain herself because she was a failed experiment to duplicate the Book of Darkness program. Another mild ability of the Symbiotic program is that it could alter it's host's physical body to a certain degree... In this case, powering up the core. This is one of the bait that Loki use to attract Jeno.

Just like how Arf could somehow drain Fate's magic from worlds apart, this is how Spica gets her juice.

I'm not even gonna try and argue about Nodoka's place in Negima, or what Tk and Keroko think of her. It's rather pointless defending your reasons to like someone/something just because others don't, and like/dislike is highly subjective. I only butt in if another person's opinion is based off erroneous info, and here I kinda acknowledge Nodoka's flaws as a Shinobu V.2 character, even though she's leagues better than Shinobu and other shy girls in her category.

What matters to me, is that I like Nodoka as a character who appeals to me, despite of, or because of those flaws, and that's that.

And the Core really isn't something you can expose just by cutting a person open like other organs of the body. And even if the core can be frozen, how do you unfreeze it?

Under very specialized conditions only. Shamal's worked only because Nanoha's weakened state and broken jacket, Book of Darkness for being the LL it is and the Liezes for being h4xx.

Stopping magic output sounds even worse than AMF. I'll think about the rest when I get back later.

Background: 13 yaers old during the Subjugation War, grew up and joined the TSAB army for a 5-year stint. Came out and went to the OFM, and is a key member of the heavy assault unit. Franz goes by the name of "Jack" in the field, for unknown reasons; it's been suggested that it's short for Jackass or Jack Offer...

He has a younger sister, Naomi, whom he adopted after finding her by the river in a combat zone, and he adopted her due to his guilt at killing her parents. He's been a dutiful brother to her, although it seems now that Naomi doesn't quite think of him as an older brother only...

Anything else you can think of: Uses a semiauto pistol chambered for .454 Voychek, a pistol caliber very similar to Earth's .454 Casull. This is his backup weapon, although he isn't really pwn with it, and is a better knife fighter than a gunfighter. He's also skilled in the use of chemically propelled firearms, and is an avid devotee of the Earth God known as "Guiness."

Welcome! I hope you enjoy your stay. Nice character concept. Aside from Keroko's issues, I find the concept to be very promising.
