The BGM on disk I resembles the music found in Hanasaku Iroha, but that is hardly surprising. It's good music in general, but pales compared to disk II: Kokoro Senritsu totally dominates. The instrumental version is [redacted]ing amazing, and I've been waiting for a very long time to hear it in its entirity. Meanwhile, words can't describe being able to hear the vocal version wherever I go

Yes, that appears to be so! Hence the body language As to whether or not there'll be a second season...I'm okay with both a yes or a no. As someone from a while back mentioned, the series wrapped up sufficiently smoothly so that it doesn't need a second season to be standalone, but has enough material such that a second season would be, for the lack of a better word, fantabulous.

Tari Tari has earned the place in my books as Best anime of summer 2012 simply because it made me happy as I watched it. Tari Tari was the light in a summer filled with publication-making and exam-writing: it was simply fun to kick back and watch people strive towards doing something as a form of escapism

are they trying to say Sakai is like her mother?! CONFUSED.
I would actually be happier if there wasn't a second season. for the most part, everything is tied up neatly and other future paths can be left to the imagination. yeah, the confession at the airport was nice, but i invested NO emotion into any of the guy/girl relationships in this series, so i didn't feel too much there.

No second season please. Tari Tari ended near-perfectly and there is no reason why a series which had a definite and magnificent conclusion need to linger on and milk off a past success. The show already got a lot of pre-flak for appearing to be a Hanasaku Iroha clone (which it definitely wasn't).
Instead, PA Works should strive to improve on their success. I'm pretty positive they are going to make another anime original slice of life/drama series down the road given the fact that they're most of their successful (either financially or critically or both) have come from this genre/format, and they should strive to make it even better. Tari Tari is a significant improvement from Hanasaku Iroha so their next slice of life/drama project should aim to do better. Maybe Nagi no Asu Kara will be that show (one of the two future PA projects in the making, the other being Red Data Girl), but with Mari Okada on board, I will be extra cautious. I'm -hoping- she takes a look at back what made True Tears so great (she wrote it afterall) and also have a look at how genuine, down to earth and pure of heart is Tari Tari instead of channeling her overindulgence tendecies as of late. Anyways I should get a hold of this Tari Tari OST. |

Tari Tari 2: One year after the end of the original, Sawa comes home to visit the old gang, revealing that she found herself a man at college. Taichi goes yandere, the 13 episodes spent killing off every character in the series one by one before killing himself.

I'm probably with Pocari Sweat on having a 13-episode second season. There's not much room for improvement with Tari Tari, and so having a full-length sequel could undo much of what is great about the show.
However, I think I'd like to see a Tari Tari movie at some point. I think that Tari Tari left just enough up in the air to make a nice animated movie. It could be about Tanaka, Wien, Konatsu, and Wakana all paying Sawa a visit, and making a real vacation to a foreign country out of it to boot. It could be a pretty nice movie, and be similar to the K-On! film.

Seriously though, I'd love to see that movie some day. I think the Tari Tari gang deserves that last adventure.
