Why not? Her agency recently announced that she'll be returning to work.

A fan's translation of the situation:

Quote:
Taneda Risa announced she is returning to work, after almost a year-long hiatus for health reasons.
The new announcement does clarify that it is "喉の治療" (throat treatment). What comes most to mind is vocal cord polyps/nodules which people who use their voice a lot (VAs and singers) often get, and which can require surgical treatment if they get bad enough. This is pure speculation though. It also doesn't say that treatment is necessarily ongoing, but that she will slowly get back into work taking her health/constitution in mind, which could again be anything from recovering from surgery/undergoing rehab to ongoing treatment.
I'd rather keep Risa Taneda on as Shielder in FGO and as Erina in SnS myself.

It truly isn't a shocking outcome. It would have been more shocking if it was the opposite outcome.

Yeah, it's really no surprise. Now I kind of feel bad for thinking that maybe the rebels had a chance for at least one win here. Well, goodbye, Subaru.

Hmm, they do not go into details of Central's dishes eh ?? I guess it adds to the suspense.
Now the rebels have to face the strongest opponents, jesus.
But we haven't seen Erina's true abilities, so....

Although we all saw coming that it was gonna be a clean sweep win for Central, truth be told the only match that actually looked like it could end either way was Tousuke vs. Rindou so it can't be helped if some people thought that would end differently. The other 2 were gonna end the way they did no questions asked.

Yes, it went as we had expected.
But next round is the real deal begin, very unlikely the author will redo the formula swip victory again so the prediction will be hard to get.

True. Even though in terms of number of chefs the two teams are equal, but the Central-side has the upperhand now. Their top 4 chefs are still active since they only lost 3 of their lesser experienced chefs while Erina side pretty much lost 2 of their top 4 chefs and Subaru whose probably a mid-tier in Erina team.

Spoiler for m:

It would be a golden victory if Erina side loses everyone except the 3 freshmen consisted of Souma, Takumi, and Megumi but they manage to beat all the remaining 5 Central members lol. That would perhaps put Takumi back to Souma's rival list and place him higher than Curryboy and Maddog in terms of Souma's rival ranks.

I take it Megumi and Takumi will show up for third round unless Erina has different strategy, well i wonder if she going to show up in third round now.
About time for Erina to show off her skill as leader she might burdened with current match rotation now since she had sent her main powerhouse to waste (technically Kuga might wasn't on her plan as Kuga being choosen from Souma himself) but if she facing off Eishi or Rindou she definitely will lose.

To be honest, I didn't expect Mimasaka or Kuga to win, but otoh I kind of hoped Megishima would have won. That would make his presence more relevant than just being "there", but it would make the remaining regiment less unbalanced.
There are still 5 elite 10 (even though Eizan could be considered as a scrub), whereas Soma has 2 of them + himself being somewhat equal to an elite 10.

Having only bunch of freshmen aside of Isshiki is kind of... questionable.

Pretty much the freshman will be equiped with "plot armor" to crush the rest elite particularly Megumi and Takumi. If only Takumi and Megumi never being written poorly the fans will not feel bad to see them lose in regime. That is why some of us are expecting Takumi/Megumi to gain victory for once there to make up the fruit of the training they had went.

I agree Megishima would be in the Top 4 from the rebels team, but Kuga? The Top 4 of the rebels team should be Megishima, Isshiki, Souma and Erina. Kuga should be one of the weakest from the rebels team, maybe the 6th or 7th strongest of the 8 members.

Megishima and Isshiki have already been established to be better than Kuga. Souma has beaten Nene who is ranked higher than Kuga. Erina is also probably better than Kuga. Takumi and Megumi might be better than Kuga too if they defeat some of the remaining Central team members who are all better than Kuga.

Oh man, now I can't stop myself for labelling Kuga as a jobber or yamcha of SNS.

This is how Megumi/Takumi going to beat their respective opponents:

Judges: Megumi/Takumi is the winner in this round.
Megumi/Takumi's opponent: How? Why?
Judges: You put too much salt in your dish. Now it is extremely salty to eat.
Megumi/Takumi's opponent: OMG...Can't believed that I made such a huge blunder...Oh wait, I put too much salt in my dish? Impossible! There is no way I can make this kind of silly mistake unless there is a divine intervention made me to do that...Oh, I got it...I never meant to win this, right?

Well, I never expect Megishima to win because he is against Rindo, one of the main antagonists in this arc, but I am sincerely thought that Mimasaka would stand a chance against Saito because no matter how I see, Saito seems expendable to me.

So I wonder how Soma and Erina are going to win against Rindo and Tsukasa in a legit and believable way considering that Soma cannot even scratch Megishima in the past.

Indeed. The upcoming chapters would be extremely painful to read if Urara keeps sprouting BS and insult non-stop on Team Soma. Hope that author will tone down Urara's nonsense in the future.

With Mimasaka skills, i thought he was gonna know the exact dish that Saito made and improve upon it. Welp, guess Saito uses improvisation to gain victory, much like Soma then.
