What a pleasant surprise. The BD sales must be doing very well for it to warrant a second season.
Guess Urobutcher has become a benchmark for success nowadays. Here's hoping Gargantia would get a sequel treatment as well. |

Will Kogami finally give Akane the Dominator?
Will moe still be not allowed? Will Spookie Boogie be reborn? Will the profits of this season go towards maintenance of the talking brains' cerebrospinal fluid tanks? Last edited by Theo; 2013-07-07 at 05:23. |

I read that the manga sold 380,000 copies in three volumes which sounds quite good for a seinen and adaptation. Also, the novels are even more violent than the tv series. There is also a CD drama and judging by the cover it's a prequel set around the time Kogami was an Inspector alongside Sasayama just like the novel. But still no news about the second season or movie? Nevertheless, happy new year and may the hyper oats be with you!

I've just found out the last Bluray/DVD had an audio drama set after the finale. It's short but it helps to explain more how are Kogami and Akane feeling:
Spoiler for summary:
The novel also has a far sadder ending Spoiler for summary:
