I think she might be because she's proportionally drawn half a head taller or so.

Esuyuki is one of the few artists that make that pairing palatable. Didn't hurt that instead of trying to stab him in the classroom scene that she introduced him to their daughter (made courtesy of some data manipulation of both parties DNA).

Well, if Ryoko had concluded that making Haruhi jealous was a worthwhile method of spurring the latter to action as opposed to killing Kyon, then the idea of showing a "future offspring" (and/or trying to seduce Kyon) would be a very plausible route for her to take.

Anyway, I do think that the "stabs Kyon at the first sign of trouble in her plans" aspect of Ryoko is a waste of her characte, since it requires that she be removed/reset after each such attempt. She has much greater potential as an ongoing foil for the rest of the cast--for example, she could be constantly plotting to break the masquarade or other plans to spur Haruhi to action, and Yuki and Kyon would have to keep reeling her in.
