So, question for people.
All the other modern Sony systems (Vita, PS3) allow you to buy an English-language system and then use a Japanese account on it. Can you do this on a PS4? I assume so, but before I go out and plunk down 400$ for one, I'd like to hear either confirmation from Sony or from somebody who's actually done it. |

So, now that I know that I am moving to North Carolina for the next 8 months and will have some free space again, finally, looks like I should start planning for a PS4 purchase.
Can't wait. For the first time since PSX, I did not buy a SONY console on Day 1. I've let some kinks work out, hopefully, and now am ready to get a new system. The PS3 has been phenomenal. I've loved it. Some of my favorite games have been on it. But, looking forward to what a new system can bring. I'm irked that there's no backwards compatibility for physical discs, but it is what it is. I can always break out the PS3 to get 3 consoles' worth of backwards compatibility if I need to.

Well most people said the story aspects of it sucked, gameplay seems to get some praise but boils down to armor raids fairly quickly, so... opinions are mixed. The ones that dropped it, dropped it hard.
Personally, I've played DOMO, which had 1 character 12 classes, so I've had my fill of the class thing long ago. And as for it being playable with the controller, which is the other thing that seems to draw people in (at least in my circles), I can play Vindictus with my controller if I want a controller game and I dont have to pay sub for that (which also has semi-coherent story too).

^ 500k would have been outstanding.
With 320k the PS4 is behind the PS2 (630k) and Wii (350k) and above the WiiU (308k). However both the Wii and WiiU launched during holiday season and the PS2 is the PS2. If the shipment of 350k is true then the opening should meet Sony's expectations. Now let's just hope that the PS4 won't collapse like the WiiU did. |

While I don't think it will reach lol 3k WiiU levels (hopefully) there is no software to sell the console.
In the next months we have Natural Doctrine, Ground Zeroes and FF XIV. The first is niche and also on PS3 and Vita, the second is a glorified demo and multiplatform and the last one is a re-release. And stuff like DS 2, Zestiria, P5 is still PS3 only. It needs to stay above 20k weekly. It will do fine in the long run but right now I don't know. |
