i know this thread is old but i feel like posting in it:
1. gto - to be honest, i've only seen 6 episodes of this but i already know i love it 2. naruto - it might seem really run-of-the-mill and whatnot but this anime has a lot of good execution and character development. 3. genshiken - this was really well done. needs another season though. 4. scrapped princess - the fighting at the end was real disappointing but it had a good emotional element. 5. samurai champloo - my two favourite things in the world are hip hop and samurai movies so i must include this. |

Zero no Tsukaima (TV) (Quite new, but it seems to have alot of potential) 4. School Rumble (TV) & School Rumble 2 (TV) (The original school drama anime imo) 5. Utawarerumono (TV) (A very good anime, the character design is my fav attribute) |

Samurai Champloo
PlanetES Naruto Mushishi FMP TSR All of these series i've seen twice, and still love them. I have a much bigger favourites list, but this is the definite elite 5. Oh and about naruto? Well, if you skip the fillers, and think about part 2 that's going to come out ... so uber ... *dr00lz* |

1. Rurouni Kenshin - Reminicence.
Concepts aren't too forceful and it is left for personal interpretation. Yet, it packs an emotional punch at the same time. 2. The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi. Kudos for the originality. The humor is witty and subtle; it isn't as redundant as most other shows. 3. Monster. Dark and morbid. Though it might have been better had it been a live action series, the plot is still great. 4. Full Metal Alchemist The best long running series, I think. While it is in a land of fantasy, there are elements of realism mixed within it. Finally, a long series where the protagonist has wits and doesn't do a mid-battle power up due to some cliche aspiration. 5. Slam Dunk Hahaha, I love this from nostalgia more than anything else. This is the first sport anime I've seen(along with the original GPX formual) and grew up with it. |
