Personally, if I ever play it (read: if it's ever localized), I'll play mostly for the story. The gameplay was kind of fun, but I'm afraid it'll get repetitve real fast, as it was the case in the demo already. Both levels were pretty much the exact same, the main difference being that a monster was hunting you down in the last one, but since all levels are timed anyway, it doesn't really change a thing.

I did say dialogue, not text.

I'm well aware i won't be able to understand most of the story, though there's just no way i'm waiting for an announcement for a localization release. I'm far too hyped for the game.

There is going to be one, is just that AtlusUSA never announces that they are releasing a game until it has been released in Japan, Devil Survivor: Overclocked not-withstanding.

...That´s what I believe at least.

Even when I feel my passion for video games waning quite a bit, Catherine is one of only two games (the other being The Last Guardian) I truly am looking forward to. The demo was incredibly fun and I really am intrigued with the story. Hoping for a US release to be announced soon, so I won't have to import it.

Having checked most of AtlusUSA releases, they usually announce their games 2 or 3 weeks after its released in Japan.

For comparison

P3P was released in November and announced in the same month,
Strange Journey was also released in November and also announced in November.
P4 was released in June and announced around the same date.

So yeah if Atlus doesn´t announce it one month after the JP release, you can start to worry.

Wait, I thought this game was going to be an SMT style RPG and not a Puzzle Game/Box Climbing Simulator/Conversation Haver. I'm kind of surprised actually.

It's a nice surprise though. Of course i love the usual RPG's that the team bring out, though i'm all for something different. Plus i'm huge on classic arcade puzzle games, and that's what Catherine is.

Thats good right? When I found out the game is a puzzle game... I became a little iffy.

But if the review is good, I might be tempted to Pre-order if this game ever gets localized
