Curiously, her name in the ED song title is spelled in katakana, and is the only Japanese is the title.

ep 2

So this week adds an autistic Harpy and a knight archetype Centuar who could probably kill a man with her massive boobs alone. Never dull moment in Darling's life that's for sure.

Food for thought though: going by what Centorea stated by her race's mating habits is she implying that Heracles and Chrion were actually gay?

Not really. All I can say is you'll see. Cerea is adorable, probably the most other than Suu and Rachnee, in her mind the love between a master and her knight is the most sacred thing but she IS a girl and like the ending of the episode implies her girlishness > her knightliness for hilarious results.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who got a chuckle out of thinking about it like that. So Heracles and Chiron were bara for each other, ok, I can go with that.

hmm... forgot about this series... lol

was gonna watch it when ep1 was out, but a post somewhere said wait for uncensor version to be done, than today I just remembered this series and went to check, the post now edited saying there's no uncensor ver...

than went to some other sites, ppls mentioned there's barely any noticeable censor, until someone else posted up pics of manga compared to anime, and the actual censor isn't from light/beams/fog but rather "cutting" the frames to remove the "ecchi" parts.

so... so I watch this series as is, or wait for "un-cut" version?
(cause I rarely watch a series twice, one TV, one "fixed" unless the series is really really good, plus watching the TV ver makes it some sort of spoiler when watching the Fix ver)

How much Censor/ Cutting is in the anime ver up to ep 2?

PS: I love Monster Girls

They are characters from Greek mythology... Homosexuality was already implied...

They don't cut anything, just use camera angles/environment for censoring.

Kobayashi is also singing the ED, including that scream at the beginning.

Oh and this should be posted as well. They're posted after each new episode.

Harpy one isn't translated yet, I believe. At least I didn't see it yet.
But basically, Harpies subspecies are Poultry, Raptors and Land Animals (Much like Ostriches or Emu, unable to fly)

There is a translation for the harpy one [hs] did it, not sure if [chihiro] did. That's why some streams sites suck they sometimes skip good shit like that.

I've heard Kimihito's name, 公人 is supposed to be a joke name, but what's the joke?

Also, Monmusu's creator seems to have another monstergirl themed series, 12 Beast. Has anyone read that yet?

Kimi means "you", and hito means "person/human". It's basically like saying "Hey, you" or "That guy".

So basically he doesn't have a real name, which is reflected on both sides of the fourth wall by no one remembering it.

It's not that good MonMusu and 12beast were serialized at the same time but Monmusu sold 1 million tanks and it got put on the back burner. Seriously 12beast has the worst luck it's been moved 3 times, hiatus after hiatus and then moved all over again. You can find it easily with some common sense and google but trans groups have been picking it up and dropping it for months.

There are other cuts here and there like this. (not actual camera angle or environment blocks, but frame cuts so they leave out the ecchi parts)

Anyways... I decide to just watch the series, less Ecchi doesn't really break the anime.

Better deleted or censor that second picture or you get banned (I was once for this too)

The censorship here isn't a problem, one thing that most people who don't read the book do not know is this series shines not for the ecchi or because is a harem, is because the author provided unique personalities to the characters (talking about the girls and Darling) and this is the main reason why Monmusume is good even without the amout of ecchi included on the main source. Also we don't have white screens like the ones on TLRD.

Actually the adaptation is on the 5th position in the ranking of BD-DVD along with TLRD, Working and Umaru-chan.

The kanji for "kimi", 公 is also a pun as it can also mean "governmental" i.e. he's an official working for the government hosting monster girls.

So basically it's really emphasising that he's the ultimate self-insert character for Monmusu's target audience, right down to his featureless derp-face?
