Some miscellaneous things I learned from my playthroughs that I didn't from videos and info:
- Poison status effect can spread between units if you put them beside each other. - Burning can be extinguished by moving the unit into a body of water, i.e. streams, ponds, even frozen ice. - Grappling hooks will not break concealment if used to move a unit, even if said unit starts on a detection tile. - The Muton's melee counter can stun and disorient the attacker. The best thing about Psi Operatives is that all of their offensive skills are free of aiming RNG, so if you need something 100% guaranteed dead your Psi-Ops can deliver.

Modding is seriously getting out of hand right now.
Beaglerush: Modding was a mistake. Spoiler for rant:

I just had my female specialist Skullmine a Elite Trooper. The hilarious part was there was a glitch and the trooper was levitating off the ground and the whole stabbing animation was exactly on that poor trooper's balls instead of his face. Ouch!!!

Depends on the mission. If you evacuate all your soldiers you get nothing. except the loot you picked up from an alien drop. So all the mission that you need to extract a VIP or missions that you need to do some shit and get the fuck out, You'll get almost nothing

In any case I beat the game on commander but holy crap was it hard. I don't recall normal being that hard on Xcom EU. My final team. 1 - Sniper with Serial 2 - Grenadier with demolition focus 3 - Ranger with Rapid fire 4 - Psi operative - I realized that you can learn all of the skills on the tree with the operative so I only had two trained in total 5 - Specialist with combat hacking 6 - Specialist with same thing but with restorative instead which helped out because an Andro acid bombed my entire group. Some nice things I liked was that when upgrading the upgrades stick with the weapons so it's not totally useless. Also when you upgrade from T1 -> T3 you only need to do the one it's only with the experimental armors you have to build individually which makes it easier to handle. The War Suits I liked and gave everyone except the sniper as having heavy weapons helped out a lot. The superior repeaters were useful for the final mission so all of my soldiers had a chance for instant kills. I think I'll wait until a patch sorts out the technical issues to make the game smoother before I go at it again. |

*sees K-On Voice Pack in the Steam Workshop*
*subscribes* I'm loving the mod scene for XCOM 2, especially the high quality ones. Apart from the Long War Studios mods, there's also the CapnBub's Accessories Pack which is pretty much mandatory among customization mods. and the Military Camo set.

CapnBub's Accessory pack is pretty epic.
Now I really wish someone would make some voice packs for languages like chinese, japanese, and russian. I honestly can't believe there are 10 of french, german, spanish, and italian, but not one of those other three.

The Stop Wasting My Time mod is so great, though. No more Central nagging me when civvies are getting creamed by enemies during retaliation missions.

Anyone know a mod that resets the Avatar counter or at least throw more Blacksite missions at me so I can reduce the counter. As it is right now I can't prolong my game no matter what I do as the game doesn't give me enough Blacksite missions so my game comes to an end no matter what. I want to be able to play indefinitely like I did with X-Com: EU and EW.

While I don't know of any mods that might mod the Avatar Project, afaik the settings for the Avatar Project can be modified via simple ini. edits, though I haven't dabbled in those so I can't say what settings to edit, or even if they're present at all. Might need to ask around more.

In regards to extending. IF the council spokesman dies then you no longer get the missions that help reduce the AVATAR progress. So long as the councilman is alive you can keep getting missions as well as finding facilities to delay the project. I'm pretty sure you can keep delaying so long as you.... 1. Do Dark Event missions that delay it 2. Destroy facilities as they pop up. I noticed that they don't start popping up until maybe after half of the bar is filled. 3. Kill avatars |
