But yeah, Ninninger's first episode aired two weeks prior to BFT Episode 22. I think it's just going to be a common trend in Japanese shows to use that joke nowadays.

Not sure about ToQ, but I can guess why reference from Kyoryuu and Ninnin come.

Minato said "Listen and be amazed!"; later Tryon 3 have lion motif in chest referencing series called Brave (If you know what I mean, LOL).
Minato do the wall slam to Yuuma in GBFT episode 22 like what happens in Ninninger first episode; funny story, Ninninger starts airing in 22 February 2015.

Both Kyoryuu and Ninnin is the third sentai in their respective theme.
Kyoryuu is the third dinosaur-theme sentai, while Ninnin is the third ninja-theme sentai;
Tryon 3 have strong 'three' motif, not to mention its the third HG unit built by Minato after Quin Mantha and Mega Shiki.

I had to smile when Minato lectured Try Fighters for trying to stop them from combining, "You guys have no sense of romance and aesthetics." He has a point. It's not good to be too pragmatic.

As someone who has watched both those shows, I feel bad I didn't catch those references. Guess I fail as a Tokusatsu fan .

Honestly, while I get the tactical nature of what Try FIghters did, I probably would've just stood there and admired the entire sequence in its beauty then try and ruin it. Heck, 2/3 of Try Fighters are Mecha fans...well, Gundam fans, but still they should totally have just let it go uninterrupted .
