All my Phillies fan friends are disappointed about the game but in the end the Phillies got what they wanted out of their time in New York: A split. It was a decent game, Pedro did pretty well but I have no idea what Charlie was thinking sending him out there for the 7th inning.

Breaking News! Brad Lidge murdered by a mob of Phillies fans, funeral soley attended by Yankee's players. When asked about the murder Ryan Howard is quoted as saying:
"Well what do you expect? Philidelphia fans are the best fans in the world, they're very knowledgeable and take the game very seriously. Where do you think we are? LA?"

Congrats to the Yankee fans that have been respectful and humble. These fans are rewarded with the World Series win. Thank you for being proud of the sport you love and enjoy. As for those certain brazen, retarded, pompous Yankee fans -- such as the retards at the New York Post who did the Victorino skirt crap -- the joke's on you. You just look like uneducated dumbasses and the whole nation thinks you are immature and worthless.
As for Phillies fans just as myself: it was a good year and we got to the World Series. We are still considered the best of the NL league. That is a HUGE accomplishment and should not be taken for granted. AND as for the handful of Phillies fans who are just as idiotic and inappropriate as the asshat Yankee ones -- there's no repeat. You are the epitome of a lulz. Go root for McNabb. He needs more of your lulz. Lesson of the series: Don't over or underestimate. Both teams played beautifully and deserve respect. Even though I do not agree with some Yankee practices, I still recognize them as a hard to beat team. There's a reason why so many people were skeptical of a Phillies win. I'm actually surprised we (Phillies) got into the World Series. That's AMAZING. There's going to me more opportunities to come. It doesn't have to be next year but we came SO close this year. It just angers me so much that there's asshat fans everywhere. Be kind to one another. Yeah, I don't really like the Yankees, but I'm not going to disrespect their city and talk crap to them or (try to) beat them up. I understand this happens all the time and things will never change but... damn v.v~ Congrats again, New York! I always love riding the NJ transit to visit~ Although I don't like your $20 burgers at Friday's >.<! Go Brian Westbrook! <3 |

Congratulations to the NY Yankees on NUMBER 27!
Congratulations to the Phillies for putting up a fight and scaring me like that for almost every game. I won't lie; I definitely felt that the Phillies were the superior team, especially with the way they looked on paper. But thank goodness the Yanks came out on top. This gives me all the incentive to skip classes for one day and go to the parade |

I think the sweatest thing about the Yankees wining the WS is the fact of Rollins disrepecting the opposing team predicting his team was going to win the WS in 5 games.
If Phillies fans should blame someone on loosing is Rollins for Jinxing them.

So, tonight the Indians traded for Ubaldo Jimenez, who was the best starting pitcher on the trade market. With them only being a game and a half behind the Detroit Tigers in the AL Central, this now gives the Indians the best 1 through 3 rotation in that division, no question. They also traded for Kosuke Fukudome a couple days ago-- who isn't anything special, but has a solid .270 average, gets on base, and plays above average defense. And the word on ESPN right now is, the Indians have JUST traded Orlando Cabrera to the Giants and they will also be making a play for Ryan Ludwick tomorrow.
I'm usually used to the Indians being sellers not buyers. This is awesome! Last edited by Tetra Vaal; 2011-07-31 at 01:36. |
