I am saddened that Natsuki didn't get to be the blood sacrifice this time. Loli teacher needs to join the harem! It is an absolute requirement!

The thing that bothers me is that the most powerful vampire of all times is completely useless in battle without his familiars...
I mean, SERIOUSLY? The only powerful thing about the vampire is the amount of familiars he can control? And he doesn't even need to drink blood constantly to survive?
Too much crap in this anime.

Why the hell are japanese funding stuff like this but not funding To Aru, which actually has properly constructed worlds?

To be fair, a lot of vampires in fiction don't need to drink blood constantly. Vampires in fiction tend to be fairly broad. Hell, the original popular vampire (not the original vampire, as in both East and West, there's /tons/ of myths with vampire qualities) didn't need to worry about sunlight and was ugly as sin most of the time.

Tell that to most modern conceptions of vampires.

As for the other, Kojou does have other powers. He heals quickly. He's super strong (he often shatters concrete/bends bars/etc when he jumps), but he -has no experience in fighting-, so this doesn't help him much. Not so much super speed, but not all vampires had that, so hey.

I like To Aru a lot, but I wouldn't call it 'properly constructed' per se compared to Strike the Blood, I'd peg them about equal. The whole approach to religion in To Aru is questionable with how history developed and develops, for instance. It's very obviously written by someone with only passing knowledge of Western religious thought - and I don't even mean the naughty nuns and other silliness.

Absolutely not.
The To Aru universe is built by an engineer, and there are very little in-universe inconsistencies. He might not be the best storyteller, but he definitely knows how to build consistent and solid worlds, something StB doesn't have, not even close to.

Yeah, right, because a sloppily adapted and executed anime is really indicative of whether the world a novel author created is built consistently and solid.

I like the entire harem in general, however I prefer La Folia and Natsuki to Sayaka and Asagi.

OK just finished watching this, saved for that damned line again it was alright.

The fight with Aya was definitely anti-climatic and rushed. For all that build up she got (even complete with a "one winged angel" transformation!), Aya crumpled hilariously easy like in what, 5 minutes? Without even doing anything no less witch is probably linked to the lack of animation that whole fight had. Vatler is pretty much the only character who's had any decent battle scenes at all this arc.

Meanwhile, suspiciously all the fanserivce scenes still manage to retain their budget, it's almost as if that's where all the effort is going!

Nice to have Natsuki seemingly back I think? She's still more lolizied than she normally is. Though drinking Kojou's blood through the bathwater is rather gross.

At least explains the sudden change in her behavior when they got back in room last week.

I guess it's too much to hope KojouxYukina scene to go anywhere. Nothing is gonna to happened until stops lying to herself or being dense internally. I would like to think that Kojou will pick the "hint" when she blurted out that "forever" line, but he'll forget it or take at face value for some reason. -_-

All in all while not much changed with this arc despite the length. It was good to get some Natsuki backstory, since she was main core of this anyway. Hopefully that Meiga fellow will make things more interesting next week. Perhaps this "Corporation" will show up too.

I know this seems spoiler-ish, but is avrora alive, dead or in-between?

Kujou bit Astarte in arc 1 to stabilize her control on her kenjuu.
