Sorry for butting in but we have 25 days left, mate. No one in this case would say "nah, I don't think I'll get Iowa". I personally haven't started the event and am at a much bigger disadvantage fleet and ressource wise compared to Kakurin but I still firmly believe that I will get Iowa myself. The only question is how high of a difficulty one will be able to manage for each map and RNG likes to play a part in that decision, as usual.

So yeah, E-5 Easy is BS.

I've only ever had 1 boss kill, and it ended as an A-Rank. Even with the fixes to air support, my land-based aircraft still don't do as much damage (since I need to keep half of my squadrons on air intercept duty), and even with boss support expeditions I still fail to get above C-rank victory.

And of course there are all the turn-backs from ships going into red.

its been so long since I last needed to buy barrack extensions(Screw you sakawa!To drop befoe the final kill!) I forgot which Icon it was

Is it the Anchor next to the additional engagement ring or is it a different one?

Edit: Actually is there a way to unlock more fleet presets or is 3 the maximum we can get atm?

Yup, the one with the Anchor is for dorm expansion

And we can buy another additional 2 preset slots, aka 5 preset slots in total.

That map is terribly designed considering the current target mechanisms. With the insane firepower of everybody (even the "weakest" of those, the turrets still can one-shot a CV and put a Yamato-class into medium damage) it's nigh-impossible to get rid of more than two enemies before night battle. With the accumulated damage (why in the world can installation units do a torpedo attack, a very effective one on top of that?) this means the need for a targeting luck and luck with damage output.

Kakurin I have good reason to believe that aerial support expedition with dive bombers is especially effective against E6 boss.

With the bug fixed, using Land base planes is now one of the ways to decimate the boss.

However, since E6 does not allow Land Base planes... I can feel why Kakurin is getting troubles with E6 boss...

Just to confirm, does Oyashio drops in E6L Easy? I haven't seen any reports about it...

It is still RNG after all. My aerial support never did more than 150 on the boss (did it like 4 times after the maintenance), whereas some could deal 500.
Might as well clear my cache just in case but I'm still not totally convinced.

I still wonder if the route conditions doesn't involve some RNG as well. I've seen people using Hayasui + Akitsumaru so they have Bisko in the escort fleet, but I keep being sent to K from H.

Aerial strikes, so it includes your fleet and support fleet, not just land based attacks.

And I have good reason to believe my eyes that the most I ever saw was 180 on five boss runs with my aerial support which consists of Akagi, Kaga, Katsuragi and Unryū. That's not going to help.

To show that those gigantic damage outputs by the air support is not representative I went out another two times. That's what I'm usually getting:

Equipment the usual three kanbaku / one radar. The other run had 67 damage. That's so not going to help. And on top of that I'm not one of the lucky few that get targeting luck. Two healthy CAs, both target one of the three escorts (and don't even eliminate them):

I am not willing to do support expeds for E-1 but if BB Hime has shown some nasty damage (I used 5 buckets in my first foray alone) I may have to use it.

Finally done with E6 and that was definitely not thanks to aerial support at all. And before you ask, I had stuffed 4 dive bombers (3 dive bombers + 1 radar failed already) AND full sparkle (so no one is going to say I cut corners).
