For me, E5 was more like E2 than E6.
I needed 11 Last Dance runs for each of those two, and only 2 for E6

I have to farm at least one more Yuu, too.
But now, I have the time to do that, 'cause I've cleared E7 half an hour ago.

Due to time constrains I could only finish E-2 today. After only 12 runs: 7 boss reachs, and the rest runs had taihas in first node, and two in PT imps, using non-ka2 ships. It was quite... amusing.

Kongou, Mogami and Naka refused to shot her in yasen. Shooting at the imp instead, and missing.

It was impassable until the 11th round when I went with a CVL instead. But in the last run I ran up the previous composition and finally:

Got Noshiro in the last run (boss node) and Tanikaze in F when I used the fast CVL comp in the 11th run.

Does anyone knows for E-6 debuff, does S ranking E-5 node I on easy first, then clearing map on Hard will count towards the E-6 debuff?

I know if you do it within E-6 debuff nodes, difficulty doesn't matter but does difficulty matters for the E-5 node I debuff?

EDIT: Which map needs AACI more? E-5 or E-6? I've locked Hatsuzuki on E-1/4 and Teruzuki on E-2/3. I have Maya for E-6 but I'm wondering should I deploy additional AACI in the escort fleet should Maya AACI not proc. I only have Akizuki left(no time and resource to level Satsuki to Kai Ni) so am wondering for E-6 is Maya enough, or do I need Akizuki as a fail safe?

I'm sorry to ask this. I don't have a HUGGGGGGGGGE collection of AACI DDs and I don't want to farm E-2 for a second Teruzuki given I've already cleared it on hard :| This 4 way fleet lock is stretching my fleet too thin.

tbh i just wanted yuu just for extra yuu lol XD although more wg wont hurt, currently have 3...and after my 100th run on easy farming(non cleared) for yuu...still none... time to go clear it and come back later

That sounds like my farming experience with Purin last event. 186 runs on E3-S

Got Oyashio on my second trip to E7-D, so I'm currently back on E1-I for Akitsu Maru.
Hoping my luck keeps going on like that.

I've allocated 300 sorties to farm for WG42s, my resource now dip below 100k besides steel which just hit 200k.

I hope I have enough to clear the event :|

It took me like 175 S ranks for Prinz back in Fall when I farmed for her. Never felt so terrible before but thank goodness I got her.

How can you clear node E5I witH S rank to debuff the E6 boss? Wasn't it the air node where they will only bomb you?

You get S rank if you took 0 damage.

I mostly had to rely on Maya for my fleet's AACI in E5. Satsuki was only included in my escort fleet because she was part of the "can carry daihatsus or WGs" rotation along with Kawakaze and Kasumi.

Putting Akizuki or her sisters in the escort fleet for E6 is a waste, I think, as their protection is needed MORE in E5.

It's only E5 for God's sake. Spent two nights lurking without much progress. Spend couple of hours spark the whole fleet. Twice. Red at sub node. Red at I air node. 3 times went to boss and hit it to red, and it refused to die.

Fuck it, It's like the idea of having a more challenging event in Kancolle now, is having more RNG map in the same event. Mark my word 2018 Summer Event will have 3 Dyson in E1

So the main fleet and escort AACI aren't separately counted? I thought they count main fleet first, if it doesn't proc, it'll roll for the escort.

It's somewhat counterproductive to have another AACI-DD besides an Akizuki-Class 'cause of the API values.
There is no problem using Maya and an Akizuki-Class AACI.
When both would trigger their AACI, Maya's better AACI will be triggered.
I used them both in E6&E7. When Maya (Main Fleet) didn't triggered her CI (somewhat rare), Akizuki (Escort) triggered hers. I had only one or two nodes where none of them triggered.

In all seriousness, they probably won't bring the regen back, because it's not how they increase the difficulty level nowadays. The idea of challenging in Kancolle now is like the case of flipping 3-4 coins and get all heads in a row. Every event, they will simply add coins into your pile. So it will be increasingly more difficult, simply because you will have to increasingly depend more on RNG.

Hence a successful event to them now, is to make it hard enough that there will be more out crying on social media, hence free advertisement/ hype building-up. But in the same time, RNG enough so people will eventually get through eventually if they try enough number of times.

In last 3 years the only 2 positive changes they made to the events were: a) ship-locking, so you can't bring Shimakaze to every map, and b) debuff mechanisms, so you may have to alter the fleet in the same map to achieve final target. the rest are all just to add more RNG and more restrictive on what can be done

Hmm, interestingly enough some people ARE having success with the STF setup in E7 Hard, though yeah, you're also dependent on Hayasui.

HibariStalker used an Akitsushima + 3BB + 2CVL/Hayasui 1CL 2DD 1 FBB 1CAV setup for example.
