Tari Tari Blu-ray Box to Add New 7-Minute Anime:
The Blu-ray Disc Box for P.A. Works' Tari Tari television anime will include a new seven-minute anime as a bonus extra on December 17. The bonus anime will feature a new Shirahamazaka High School Choir Club song as its theme. |

I wonder if Sentai's Bluray version of the series will include the special. Likely not, since it's apparently slated for release on November 18, before this new Japanese Bluray collection.
That being said, at least Sentai is finally doing a Bluray release for this series. This is one series I want to own on Bluray, not DVD. |

Surprised (and glad) to see that there's still some activity here. Nice, a 7 min extra and new song.
And the live performancse of Tari Tari songs shared by Kakkou is amazing. Thanks for sharing it.

It's been out since December 17, and the video's old news (posted November 23!); for a second, I was thinking "did someone upload the entire seven-minute extra to YouTube?", but alas, such was not the case.

OHH a new song from Tari Tari, loved their singing, it's so soothing. Even now there are very few animes that has song that can match their quality.
Btw, does anyone has an idea what is the song Wien sang in the middle of episode 12, after they went to pick up their ruined props from the trash? It's about 8-9 minutes in of the episode. I went through every song on their albums, including the character song, but didn't hear anything like it. |

It's definitely been quiet around these parts, so let's liven things up with some screenshots from the special I found!
Spoiler for 1080p Screenshots from the OVA, and remarks:

Looks like someone finally subbed the OVA ... it is about 11 minutes long, and serves as a sort of epilogue to the series, I think.
It was quite nice and refreshing, combining a lot of the "best aspects" of the series, perhaps? Anyways, worth a look.

To this day, I'm still finding a moe/drama/SoL series like Tari Tari and still haven't found something of its calibre. Non Non Biyori was the closest to get to it but even then I don't think it was as good.
Glasslip was "supposed" to be the next thing but we all know how that turned out... |

As far as being the best SoL goes, Tari Tari is definitely up there. While not quite as comical or relaxing as others (say, GochiUsa or Tamayura), it was certainly plausible and had relatable characters. This one's definitely a tough one to match. Regarding Sawa, I agree hands down

Best girl is Wakana. Search your feelings, you know it's true.
Also, I don't think Tari Tari is SoL. I think it's a character drama, which is not the same thing. If I had to compare, I'd say Tari Tari is somewhat similar to Hibike Euphonium, another excellent character drama.

In 2018, the sequel novel Tari Tari ~Budding, Shining, and Sometimes Singing~ began publication. The novel is an all-new story set 10 years after the anime's events, and it answers the question of what became of Sawa and Taichi. However, no summaries existed of what actually happens in the novels. Until now.
