Good unagi is expensive and that was definitely an upscale place (enough for a last meal before prison) so I think it mostly came down to that.

At least Yuuki Onna made the season worth watching. Still a shame that pair wasn't in more of the season since they were a constant treat. But they were still good when the story focused on them.

The rest of the season was fine. Probably for the best to just lean into what Kotoko is. Going to either hate her or love her, but will definitely be left with an opinion of her at the end of the day.

Probably a 6/10 for me.

I think it's a bit of a middle class reasoning. For him and his friend, going there is a treat for a special occasion, and for adults earning their own money. Not for kids to go there on a whim like they're stopping at a family restaurant after school. But Kotoko's family is rich enough that her allowance more than covers that kind of luxury.

I don't even remember what happened right after Yuki-Onna at the moment, and the last arc felt a lot longer than it should have only to just be some old man selfdestructing with his family. And the last episode? Like... what? It feels like they had one episode left and just randomly stuffed something.
