Well, depending on when in the MCU this sequel takes place, this should save Ant Man from being a potential casualty in the upcoming Civil War.
Yes, I very much think somebody will die in Civil War, as well as the movie itself ending not-so-happily. That "dark before the dawn"-type ending in preparation for the Avengers saving the universe in the Infinity War, like we got at the end of the Dark Knight before we saw Batman's rise back to publicly-hailed heroism in the Dark Knight Rises.

Kind of pissed that Ms. Marvel was pushed back a year (Marvel's first solo female driven film...Jessica Jones is being released in a month though ), but it is nice that Black Panther was moved forward. That being said, I am excited to see The Wasp as a headliner, even if I fear she might be needlessly waylaid through much of the film much as she was in Ant-Man.

Apparently, Fantastic Four's movie rights are back with Marvel (in exchange for X-men's TV rights).
Source If so, then the post credit scene for Infinity War's Part 2's has been written: An image of Doom looking out into the distance from one of the balconies in his castle. |

About time. Only took a massive flop to get Fox to see the light. So much for all of their grand plans, but in reality this is a smart move for both sides. FF is too iconic to just die a painful death like Fox was making it do, and Marvel wasn't going to use mutants anyway. Not like a mutant TV series would compete with Agents of Shield any more than Flash or Arrow already do, so no harm there.

Well I'll be suspicious overall until they officially announce it .
Regardless it would be interesting if that did happen. Mostly since I think Marvel would just take the Fantastic Four's villain roster and not bother with the team itself . Though hey since there is bound to be a changing of the guard in terms of the MCU after Infinity War you never know.

Will say I'm curious as heck how the Hulk will get involved in Thor's next movie. Might even end with him trapped in some other realm or world temporarily. Good move though. I like having multiple Avengers characters in these films. For intro movies it makes sense to mostly focus on the one hero, but after that adding in other heroes lets you do a bit more.
