Well the penguin hat present, heck, after that scan earlier up on the page I'm wondering if she's actually going to be the villain for the show. Man, we still have two weeks to go, don't know how much longer I can wait!

I used to hope that this show would be good, but I don't think that that's even all that important any more. Unless he used up all his ideas on Utena, Ikuhara is sure to bring unique ideas and a fresh outlook on whatever subjects he want to tackle. The fact that the creative staff has been so tight-lipped about their show is very encouraging as well. Right now, what I really want is different.

Going by everything so far, it certainly looks different, but I wonder how different is is going to be from Utena.
I'm hoping Ikuhara wont disappoint me since this is my most anticipated show for this season haha. Still, whatever it ends up being, it is going to leave a strong impression. Less than a day till we all get subjected to our new penguin overlords.

Whether or not this is ultimately great as opposed to merely unusual or absurd, at the very least it's an interesting way to market a project and the penguins do make for a good visual element. I suppose that counts as having a fair amount of creativity.
If it's a matter of speculation, then I just hope all of these apparent symbols will in fact be used in an ultimately intriguing as opposed to merely confusing manner. Like in Utena, for example, though this project seems to have a completely different framework and the comparison may not be the most apt. I'll try to keep my expectations low. Now, I definitely enjoyed Utena, but that doesn't mean I'm necessarily going to like or dislike this. I will just wait and see what the director is actually going for. Even at this stage, that's still very difficult to tell. |

Now then, now then, almost here...
I don't mind if it is unique, but I want them to do it good. No matter how unique a show is, there is no point if it isn't interesting. A good show becomes a far better memory, even if the plot wasn't anything different. Who is Ikuhara again...

So the OP is by Yakushimaru Etsuko - now that's one really interesting fit. It couldn't just be anything conventional, and she fits the bill. I think the result is lovely. I can't believe it was kept 'secret' until yesterday too.
Will wait for subs to make the most of the viewing experience, but the few seconds I've seen look good. Really good.
