There are three different Chinese subs for each episode. Chinese fans are not as demanding of perfect images, I guess. Each episode seems to start out as a parody of some show or type of show, but soon veers off in its own direction.
I haven't done a post about this show yet, but it continues to be hilarious, for me. There might be something in the links list on my blog.

In any case, thanks for the information, I'd like to see this show, even if raw seems very funny |

So wait... the show is not really that popular in Japan as well? Damn... and there is still no subs for this show in English besides episode one... so sad... The raws are hard to get as well. All I see is raws for episode 1, 4, and 5.

The major change the anime adopted for the first chapter certainly seems like an odd one. It basically removes the basis for why the entire premise is supposed to be comedic, at least at the start...

Yes, it seemed an odd choice. I think there is a lot of comedic to be had beyond that, but that was the strongest part of ch1 of the manga, and it was strange to hide it. I think they wanted to save it for the sequence it has now shown up in, but quite odd...like the whole show. It remains one of my faves of the season, but it is a strange combination of cliched, over the top, and uniquely weird. By the way, I'm still sticking with my Monty Python comparison, at least in most episodes.

Episode 3 has the translation and the timing done and basically their timing & typesetting guy has had some RL issues at work to content with. Hopefully Episode 3 will come out soon after Episode 2. But I know of at least one fansub group that is waiting for the BDs, and I guess most fansub groups hate the LQ stream of Nico Nico and that's why it's taking so long for subs to come out. But again, I'll thank Staircase for subbing this series. |
