Looks like Ochako is the only person willing to team up with Deku, followed by Gadget Girl and Fumikage (birdhead with shadow Quirk).

Deku originally wants Iida to join his team, but the latter wants to compete against him instead

Huh, if that's true then looks like I was on the mark about one of the other classes' kids joining Deku (I even brought up Gadget Girl as a candidate!). The bird guy joining the team is an interesting choice, though. Sure can't wait to see how well they can utilize their quirks as a team!

It's explained that the match will only last 15 minutes. The jockey's headband is worth all of the team's combined points pooled together, and the final score will be determined by the number of headbands the jockey has taken. Teams will not be disqualified from the game even if their headbands are taken or the horse configuration goes out of control, and naturally, everyone's allowed to use their quirks. However, a team intentionally attacking a 'horse' with their quirk WILL be penalized. Now, the kids have 15 minutes to form their teams....

The heroes from chapter 1 (giant girl, tree ninja, Guts Man) discuss how the festival is meant to train up-and-coming heroes. Meanwhile, a bunch of people naturally flock to Bakugou, and in the end takes Kirishima (the kid with the hardness quirk) as a partner. Mineta teams up with the guy with the guy with the talking tentacles (mainly because no girl wants to partner with him, heh), and Ochako volunteers to team up with Deku, causing him to almost literally cry a river, lol. As mentioned in the earlier spoiler, he tries to get Iida to join too, but the classmate refuses, not wanting to stay in Deku's shadow forever. That's when Gadget Girl appears, offering her help (and completely ignoring Ochako in the process). She tells Deku her quirk, though us readers don't know what it is yet. However, one more gap needs to be filled....

Some bishie kid from class B disses class A, calling them too arrogant. As the 15 minutes are finally up, Deku has formed his team, with the bird-man and his shadow Chocobo being the last addition!

Well, she should. Her gadgets can be useful for Deku until he actually manage to control his power without killing himself.

Gadget girl was named, so she could become a main, but there's already soo many, that I think she'll stay as a support (just like her class)

I doubt that Hatsume/Gadget Girl will become a main. At least in the case of Deku's classmates we were already introduced to them in the first few chapters. These kids from the support class were only introduced in the more recent chapters, and unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that most of their fates will be to play second banana to the heroics class, the very thing that they're so resentful about, lol.


Well, I guess there is still the possibility that she'll get transferred to the heroics class depending on her performance, though. I just wouldn't expect her to get as much focus as Ochako or Tsuyu, is all.

I guess that would depends on her popularity in this arc. If she turned out amazing and useful, I can see her tag along with Deku even though they are not from the same class.

I hope this series will continue focus on the academy instead of focus on bigger threat such as world destruction in the end.

Speaking of Midnight, it seems even one of the Japanese fans was curious enough to ask Horikoshi over Twitter whether or not she was topless, lol. His response was that he'd answer that question through the comic at some point. Though as I said in an earlier post, I'm leaning towards her wearing a catsuit or something (probably one that's flesh-colored, at that).
