1. Grave of the Fireflies (damn this movie, it made me kinda down for days)
2. Air (aozora scene = pure sadness)
3. Kimi ga Nozomu Eien (pretty much every episode was depressing)
4. Saikano (great story and a very sad conclusion)
5. Kanon 2006 (makoto's arc was too much)
6. Koi kaze (powerful story focusing on a taboo issue)
7. Hantsuki (when all hope is lost, all you can do is love. if not for the last episode, this could have had me in tears)

You Know, IDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA? previously all of my IM@S stuff was stuck in my head till i couldn't eat and studying because of Chihaya did to Ribbon-chan! Now i'm stopped watching the show because of the affected by the Haruka's Incident. CHIHAYA IS SUCH A DOUCHEBAG!! She will now burned in hell after the event of episode 25 for what she did to Haruka, eventually.

Also Same goes For Chrono Crusade which was sad till i'll already stopped watchin the show after the affected by the incident of AION!! Chrono Finally Dies at the end.....

CHRONO! I SHOULD AVENGE YOU!! *cries and leaves the computer table*

what's with the lack of Grave of the Fireflies? Seriously, nothing can get sadder than that. Nothing I've seen, be it live action, anime, cartoon, international flick, etc. can be sadder than Grave of the Fireflies.

It's like you start off with a ton of tiny, cute puppies in a serene setting and then you throw them into a deep frier a second later. . . You're like. . . WTF? NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But instead of it stopping, you watch it all in slow motion as they are fried to death. NO!!!!!!!!!!!!

Grave of the Fireflies is sadistic, it's one elongated death scene where you get to see the most innocent things die cruelly. It's evil, i say. . . EVIL!

Feed the Children or one of those international humanitarian organizations should make this their official movie. They just need to mail this out and people start sending money. Seriously, this movie can get people into guilt trips.

No, I'd say more shockingly realistic. We may not like it, but it's how many Japanese pesants suffered during WWII. I don't think the japanese government at the time took very good care of their citizens.

Grave of the fireflies, hands down is the most depressing anime I have ever seen.
Mai Hime was sad until the end. Then yay, everyone is happy again.
I cried in Fullmetal Alchemist. *lights a candle for Hughes*
I teared up a bit in Maria-sama when Yumi's chasing after the car in the rain. (maybe I get emotional too easily.)
And Himemya's final act of treachery in Revolutionary Girl Utena was also a bit sad for me.

No doubt about it. Sadest evver was elfen lied were Lucy told her true feelings for Kohta.... Omg had just broke up with my girlfriend when i started watching the anime. I've been with that girl for 4 years when we broke up and i didnt break a tear when it ended. But in ep. 13 in elfen lied i cryed like hell!

Also blood+ had some sad moments, but after all it all went good in the end...
