Silly things you find on forums
I have seen a lot of funny stuff on forums and thought we should collect them and display them in a thread
Submissions can be of real life or animated Well here I shall go first: I found this on a game forum that is in development and thought to myself "I wonder if thats Dragonball he is trying to do"

Flag-desecration amendment needs 1 more vote
"WASHINGTON — The Senate is one vote away from passing a constitutional amendment that would ban desecration of the U.S. flag, the closest that amendment supporters have been to passage.
...http://www.usatoday.com/news/washing...mendment_x.htm" Which of course if does happen, flag burning day as it will be otherwise known by. People going out to Walmart, buying up an bunch of US flags & crap,.. probably even be BBQ & beer. And when the government tries to arrest everyone, they'll just claim that the flags are made in China anyway. Napalm. Because it had to be like an contest earlier for during the flag burning to make things even more fun. In which, sadly, will make the flag burners more patriot than I. ...As I'll just be eating popcorn as everything unfolds on television, all while thinking how I'm getting good pay-per-view quality material. Pay-per-view quality, that being that as we all know what happens when beer is involved. ... .. Though on second thought, I could just drink the beer and anything would seem like pay-per-view quality material. Canadian beer no less... For Patriotism. |

巴士啊叔(Bus Uncle)
Well, im not sure if this has been posted anywhere, but anyway
here's a video clip of an incident happened in hong kong. Setting: in the bus A 20+years of age man came across with an old man in the bus, a 5 min arguement..... There are quite a lot of rude words in it, but they are all said in Cantonese, dont worry there is subtitles lol. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsYRQ...ch=bus%20uncle As a Hong Kong'nese myself, i felt ashame of other people in the bus, who didnt stand up for the 20+years old man.... that probably proves that people who live in hong kong are all stressed out.... I myself, arent sure since ive moved to australia to learn english 4 years ago and ive only been living in HK for only 10 yrs :S This incident was widely spreaded around the world now, its pretty amazing too. Enjoy |

I thought twice about making a thread like this, but I reckon only people associated with Hong Kong would understand it, so gave up in the end.
For the uninitiated, it's spreading like wildfire over the internet medium (for users from Hong Kong anyway) is just as big as the "All Your Base" phenomenom in 2001. An Internet Meme. It was the second most viewed YouTube video in May 2006, and even got a mention in the Guardian, New York Times and Wall Street Journal. In five years time, no one will remember who this uncle is, but he has ensured his status in the remnants of the internet memory banks. |

I read this in the newspaper:
Well, apparently after the YouTube video made him (in)famous, the unemployed uncle was offered a job as a public relations officer (wtf?). But on his first day at work, he was attacked and beaten by three masked men who were unhappy about his behaviour in the video. Also in the article: Quote:
Oh well, I guess any publicity is good publicity. :x |

Infantile Japan seen redlining cute gauge
An article on how "cuteness" is rampant in Japan. Awhile back on another forum, somebody posted about something Japan and "cute", and I replied with a post along the lines that in Japan cuteness was a big part of the culture. Then another member (an European nun the less), just flamed me and even called me an idiot for suggesting such a thing. Well, a little late and in the wrong place, but here's my proof. |

US turns on missile shield as Korea fears grow
"America has activated its multi-billion-dollar missile defence shield for the first time, it emerged yesterday, as concern mounted that North Korea was preparing to launch a long-range ballistic missile.
...http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/main...21/ixnews.html" Or about as I suppose most would feel about it, http://img101.imageshack.us/my.php?i...acobell9el.jpg. ...If to get the Taco Bell folks to try again this time around. Though odds would probably favor the missile defence shield on hitting it first, being that the stuff moves just about as fast, as well as known as being unusually explosive. |

Not neccesarilly a news story, but there's alot of other sites that have news about him. Basically, he sells immortality rings on his website. It also has a ton of hillarious off the wall MS-Paint descriptions of how various spacial and physical phenomena work, that I would assume he believes.
