One possibility is to put a bit of white color on the left edge of the right eye to shrink its pupil. Since the character is looking to the left, her right eye's pupil would be placed somewhere in-between the middle and left side of the eye. The finished "Velvet" figure looks nice. How did you get the blurred effect on that... chain(?) she is swinging around? Is that a Shop effect? Edit: O, NM. My mistake. The lighting kind of make the crystal look blurrier for that shot; the other images had them differently.

I am almost caught up to all the episodes (at 8 right now) and I really like her as a character in the show, one more thing i discovered after watching the show. This could be the picture angle as well, but her face seems longer than the PVC. also her skin color in manga and anime has a darker tone.. |

There are more angles here if you want to confirm/invalidate your pessimism. But I've grown accustomed to faces being ... off. I don't think any of my figures really capture their characters faces quite right. Horo for example, I have 4 different Horo figures currently with the 5th on the way (1, 2, 3, 4, 5), and all of them are different, none of them right. Some way worse than others (1 and 2 are terrible), but some very cute in their own right and seem to fit her character despite the differences. I think the only figure I have that matches spot on with her anime counterpart is Drossel von Flügel. I swear she looks identical in figma form as she is in the anime. Aside from that I think the next closest might be my two Ryougi Shiki (1, 2) figures by Good Smile Company. As for Canaans skin colour, it does seem perhaps too light toned, but I'm not going to hold that against the figure. Maybe once there's a comparison between the normal skin tones of figures and her, but currently by herself in a processed image, I can't say for sure.

^ That is true... not many figure has show accurate face... maybe that's why I am staying away from figures based on show. Even though I absolutely loves Horo, I never got her figure. Maybe just because her characteristic and rich facial expression makes her much superior in the show than figures. I got bounty hunter yoko this year because of the details on the figure. I do not think I've seen a Haruhi PVC with effed up face.

I'm not sure why he has a figma, why he seems to be popular amongst the Japanese websites I frequent (and can't read)...
I must say I find some of the things people do with him and other figmas and such are rather humorous, some are quite homo-erotic but still funny.

The "Velvet" figure is coming out as a PVC at the end of the year, I believe, and looking at the publicity images, its right eye's pupil is actually at the left edge of that eye. Size-wise, the pupil is just touching that edge so the character doesn't look cross-eyed. Instead of putting the white color on the left side of the pupil to shrink it then, painting the color on the right side instead would be better, IMHO.

Personally, I have my own house. And in my main living room, I have a few display cases of resin kits and plastic model's that I have built. A few of them have breasts prominently displayed. And what do my family and friends say? Normally, nothing. But every once in a while when I build something new, I get positive responses. Because they are able to look at the object as a piece of art. That or they're giving me the proper respect as it is my house and they are being respectful to what I decide to put on display. Hell, my parent's friends bring kids over to my house. It is a sad state of affairs that people believe that they must shield everyone with some false image of moral sanctity.

A quick question, does anyone recognize these girls? I've been asked, but personally don't recognize them, thought perhaps the community here might instead.
They were bought from an ebay listing titled something along the lines of 'Unknown anime gashapon figures - biker girls' Thanks for your help!

The girl in the yellow jumpsuit is "Sayaka Yumi" from the "Mazinger" series, but I don't 100% recognize the girl in red even though I had seen the figure in the past. Maybe "Fyana" from "Armored Trooper Votoms"?
