Mobage? You mean...the Android and iOS developer for games?! I want it.
A little info on how the game runs here, and I'm mostly liking everything involved thus far. As for the character roster, there's literally going to be over 100 idols. Sounds like you pick a staple set of personalities and produce one of the idols from there. You'll be challenging other idols directly, and winning will gain you fans and um...the costume of the defeated. Why am I picturing it being forced off the loser? >.> Anyways, some of the new characters shown are giving off some heavy vibes for me. Seitokai Yakuindomo? Amagami SS? But man, look at some of these cuties, I know who I'm producing first after the regulars.

Yeah, that's how I read it the first time. It means there will be a ton of new idols (originals), which excludes existing characters like Haruka, Miki and Chihaya. Everyone's coming to the party, don't worry.

It just means that all 100 of the girls will be original, except Haruka, Chihaya, and Miki, not that it means you wont be able to produce them if that was what u were thinking.
Edit: and it looks like someone beat me by a few seconds |

An NA release in itself seems almost impossible as no iM@S game has made it overseas as of yet. As for other mediums, that depends on just how well this one does. Me personally, I don't think enough people will "buy" the game to warrant such a deal.

It's like a seiyuu tournament. Lucky would be the newbie seiyuu who voices an idol that will be a hit for the gamers: she's gonna rank up faster than shit it takes usually.

And it's Japan, they won't have to go far to find 100 fantastic voices.

I don't think they need 100 different seiyuu. Some of them could do more than one role if they have the range for it.
But are Haruka, Chihaya, and Miki the only returning idols? I see Yayoi, Ritsuko, and Iori as well. Also, are there still going to be character models, or is it just going to be a card game? |

Well, i doubt there will be load of voices for this mobage...
So they can give it to unexperienced seiyuu or seiyuu in training... And no VOCALOID. VOCALOID maybe has been tested for singing, but hasnt been tested for seiyuu... After all, BRS is not voiced by Miku herself, but by Kana~chan... Btw, oot... |

Cheers! I hope Makoto's back too. Out of all the idols I find Makoto, after Haruka, the best. I got all their songs but I mostly kept Haruka and Makoto on all my players.
