I have not heard of a group subbing it, you will probably have to approach one to do so. Best time would be just before the fall line-up since a lot of other animes are finishing.
I do not have the time to do so myself, I have too much on my plate for unfinished projects >_<

Well, no group is obliged to sub anything. It's probably only a matter of time before some people get round to it, though. I'm quite tempted to just try watching the raw.

And like others, I don't have much time. So the progress seems slow (it's been more than a week since I started).

First half part will be done in this week. But I'm not sure about the last.
It may take me more time than first one.

I welcome any fansubber wanna use my translation~ (a bit bad, I think)

PR/Translation editor here. As of now PR-ing Part A is almost done; I'm working as fast as I can (my girlfriend also did a good portion of the work to help speed it up) but there might be a bit of delay for Part B, if WKK does finish it early this week, due to exams coming pretty close...

Also, apparently there's some rumor from an anon on /a/ that Sage subs was releasing Outbreak completely subbed and QC'ed by tonight? Though I haven't found any indication of it on their blog but I was sent a link to a post from a supposed anonymous member of the group saying they were at 50% QC.

Double edit: I was listening in on Sage's IRC and it seems they were unaware of how the Outbreak DVDs were released in a very sparse manner, if anyone has a hard copy and would be willing to pass on an ISO to them they would greatly appreciate it and will be willing to do a v2 encode. I did later on link them to a 2700 yen JP Yahoo auction entry though, so they might be able to get it themselves in due time? Given that nobody else bids on it.

Another group stealing the glory, dang

If only I had a day off I could have finished it a lot earlier. If only we all had some days off and got together sooner. I was close to finishing, well yesterday with what we had but was hoping for corrections before deciding to try to correct it myself and hard sub it.

Currently I am being distracted by the live feed Iron Maiden concert at Rio and also the fact I have been up more then 48 hours due to back to back long shift for work >_<

Well I am downloading the other group sub version to see if it horrible

Ryukishi, you mad genius, what exactly are you thinking of right now? It started off as an interesting, plausible twist on hinamizawa syndrome breaking out and such, and then it just went L5 crazy part way through the story...

I was facepalming as I watched the whole thing. I didn't like it at all. The only reason I cared for the characters is because I CARE about them from the VNS and the original anime.

They should leave Higurashi alone before they turn it into a zombie apocalypse... no wait, it kinda already happened -_-
