Searching around the web I have come across several interesting quotes from Volume 16, seems it is going to be a busy volume.

Well, regarding volume 16, I wonder if Rizevim Livan Lucifer is going to be a Longinus possessor as well - meaning that he won't actually be a pure blood Devil.

After all, one of the quotes that n0m@n posted on his blog did say that a wielder of the Holy Cross is going to be present on the battlefield...

No the Holy Cross aka Incinerate Anthem is confirmed to be in the Strayed Magician association, Hexennacht.

Because they hate Devils, they were expelled by Mephisto Pheles a Devil, also:

If they would be hating Devils, they wouldn't be cooperating with them ... and as we know, that is not true, since the Stray Magician's where cooperating with Euclid Lucifuge, a Devil ... in order to get to Kuou Academy.

Maybe, but since we don't know how the Stray Magician organization is actually composed, she might be only some kind of division leader and not a leader of the entire organization.

Anyway, what we do know is ... that the user of the Holy Cross is going to appear in volume 16, so we should probably wait some time, to see who is actually going to be the user of that Longinus, rather then continue this speculation, which we are unable to verify at the moment.

Author posted about female fans going apesh*t over something that will happen in vol. 16. I'm willing to bet yaoi moment for Issei incoming. Personally it just made me the wait for vol. 16 that much more excruciating.

Not necessarily it could be a case of the enemy of my enemy is my friend Cao Cao believed that as a human and descendant of a hero it was his duty to kill devils, dragons, fallen angels and the like yet the Khaos brigade which he was part of had the old Maou faction. This tends to especially to be the case when there the weaker force and don't have the luxury of being picky about allies.


I had a weird the other day it might be kind of interesting if Ophis got a sacred gear from Azazel say a Double Critical it usually isn't viewed as being able to do much but you combined it with a monster like her.

Author said something about getting more sales thanks to the show so hopefully if the english dvd sales do well enough we'll get them. At least special order or pdf form.

On the other hand, if we actually got an english version of the light novels, it would mean that we would need to wait a few years, before we got to the latest released version of the Light Novels, since if something like that happens, the translations of the novel, would be removed from BT, and n0m@n could also be forced to stop translating the novels.

So, it's a double edged sword, and personally speaking, I wouldn't like it, if I had to wait a few years to actually continue reading the story.

same with me too ._. i dont like to be translated i hope they translated after the story is finished and completly turn to pdf before it will be licenced T_T

So what do you think? Could it be that the one leading the Magicians of Khaos Brigade is a descendant of Merlin?

Or maybe they are against Merlin's teachings and for that they use his name on backwards.
Or more simply, the author had run out of imagination for new names

It's happened w/ Haruhi Suzumiya, Hidan no Aria, Accel World and SAO already. Proper English translations practically take forever. Yen Press and other companies like to hold off on translations until they're absolutely sure some profit would be made. I would probably be a geezer w/ lotsa grand kids already by the time they finish... if they finish at all. Supporting by buying the English novels can only get you so far. So yeah it's really a double-edged sword. But I think DxD is a bit on the "difficult to bring stateside" list along w/ other LN's that touch upon religion and the like. TaMnI would be another example. So I think we can at least rest easy... for now

just wondering we already discuss/argue about issei peerage, just wondering what will be kiba and akeno peerage will be like



kiba peerage maybe who are tech type that versatile in power, support or wizard

akeno peerage maybe ? sadist or father behavior type


and we discuss/speculate also the o.r.c. power-up in future vol just wondering what would be ravel power-up, maybe a healing type flame or something like that

Not every Devil becomes independent, even if they become High Class Devils, so personally I think that both Kiba and Akeno won't abandon Rias, even if she retires from the Rating Game.

I think that Ravel's power ups are going to be about learning a few magic spells that are compatible with her Phoenix nature - she is a Bishop, after all.

probably but you know if they reach high class devil they are given evil piece both akeno and kiba wont leave rias but they can reincarnate servant if they want like tannim's king

true ^_^ i hope she, xenovia, irina, kiba and ross have both gain powerup

especially xenovia and kiba i hope we can she xenovia fully master ex-durandal, for kiba i hope he found a way to use gram without giving in into gram's curse

If Ravel could use her heritage in an unusual way (influenced by Ise's tendency to make others around him grow in unusual ways), I think Ise could have the upper hand in many areas if she became his bishop officially.

What abilities would she gain though? So much untapped potential for Ravel. She could be a real wild card.
