Volume 11 was just released the other day, and I must say, it's the most moving piece of work I've seen or read in a long while.

Spoiler for Volume 11:

The cover for volume eleven for those who craved to see Anju starring on it.

I just got to say that the art for Anju in this volume was so exquisitely goth-moe

It seems then that the anime was ahead of the manga in terms of plot, since a lot of that Anju stuff occurred in the latter part of the anime. Yuna Kagesaki must have had the story mapped out several volumes in advance. I wonder what other plot elements in the anime will surface in the manga? Winner Sinclair?

Hmm, does any one read after volume 11?
I really want to see Karin's other grandmother.
I am sure we will see the truth behind Karin.

Winner Sinclair won't be in manga. I don't think there is no need for him in manga . There is already enough conflict between characters in the manga that I don't think manga writer has to put more in it.

I'm reading the english adaptation being published so I'm only up to volume 4.

I'll say that I love the artwork (and I think the anime adapted it decently) and the storyline is satisfyingly more detailed than the anime adaptation of it.

Its just the damned stupid choice for an english title "is so embarrassing". ((can't say I'll miss Sinclair in the manga.... though having him in the anime let Karin's friend blossom more))

lol yes Im also reading only the english adaptation and they did give it a funny name but that is what drew my attention to it... if they called it Karin it would have taken longer to grab my attention.

I am interested in this manga. I watched the show and liked it. What more is there in the manga?

The usual things that make a manga different than its anime adaptation.
More detailed relationship development, more backstory, different ordering or locations of some events.

Some specific differences: no Sinclair as such and therefore less opportunity so far for Karin's girlfriend to shine like she did in the series. Anju comes across stronger and bit more calculating. Their parents are portrayed less one-dimensionally (especially Karin's mother). Grandma is *more* dangerous in a way. The way our two lovebirds are portrayed is more.... adult and frank - the potentialities are recognized pretty early even if denied.

Just finished volume 5.... I keep repeating how much I love the artwork. Some of the frame transitions were a bit rough this time but the story of Elda's "coming out to play" and Ren's backstory did a marvelous job of mixing the comedy with the pathos.

I'm delighted that the characters are acting and reacting with more adult frankness than the tamed down anime implied. Loved the anime, but this I'm finding even better.

The author's notes are pretty entertaining in their own way though the author seems to have a terrible self-image

Not really interested in where such websites are since the story is licensed and being produced. Its quite available at most bookstores at a fairly cheap price.

It is more of a relationship and character study story... there is some "action" but in a more realistic quantity (when you're an "immortal", violence is for the impatient and short-lived - not for beings who think in terms of centuries).

She also enjoys making her characters suffer.

Agreed.

The arc in volume 6 and 7 is my favourite so far. It's chock full with delicious drama.
Hopefully the English readers would get to enjoy them soon.

The manga (see manga subforum for Chibi Vampire ) is released in English via Tokyopop about every four months. The next (vol 6) is due out in early November.
There's a light novel series as well but I've not taken a look at that.
