Yeah, the officer grabbing Kyon doesn't happen in the novel. I'm guessing that it might be a truancy officer or something, although it could just as easily be a cop. There was mention of a guard that was by the gate of the Kouyouen school, so that's what I'm going off of.

Now, Yuki....I didn't like her in this...except for when Ryoko had just stabbed Kyon..Then Yuki got real epic with her shock and fright look. Don't get me wrong, I thought AltYuki was very cute, but..I dunno. I just don't like her with that much emotion (considering she already has some) Koizumi looked hawt Mikuru (as usual)-Adorable. Ryoko was "why the hell are you even in this movie?" for me at first, but when she stabbed Kyon it was more of "get the hell out, you're scaring Yuki and you just killed the main character. I also saw some classmate screentime...Why? Last edited by AmyElizzabeth; 2010-03-14 at 23:40. |

I took a couple of screen captures from the Melancholy II and BLR episodes on DVD and compared them to a screen capture from Lantis's spoiler video for Yuki's room to compare the three stories. Well....let's just say that Yuki's room design is up to speculation.
The camera angle is a bit off from the BLR comparison, but that's the closest since the Melancholy II one is further away than the other two. I suppose Yuki did a brief little bit of data manipulation right after putting Kyon and Mikuru (small) in stasis.

Not only that, the ceiling is different in all three pictures too. For the sake of camera angles, though, I'll just compare the 2nd and 3rd picture.
2nd: Ceiling has no lights on the left. 3rd: Ceiling mysteriously has lights now. And guess what, look! Even though it's technically the same angle, the view of the city is drastically different! |

I like the third apartment best as well. The art is better, I guess.
Just another question for anyone who knows anything about architecture; What's the purpose of the gap in the ceiling? I'm pretty sure Yuki's house is a single floor apartment, so the fact that part of it stretches up above and has some kinda window is... mystifying to me. |

Actually, haven't we had a glance of Yuki's apartment several times already, all from different angles? Also, the structure of the building doesn't seem like one suited for double-floored. |

Which begs the question; While people have noticed the fact that she lives alone, how come no one questions the fact that Asakura and Yuki coincidentally are both able to afford the rent for their apartments? Even though there's the logical explanation of rich families...
